Ultimate Rookie Report Week 12 2025
Shedeur Sanders did something for the Browns organization that hasn’t happened since Eric Zeier did in 1995. He won his first rookie start. And you know how Zeier’s career turned out. I don’t, but you might. Also, I came up with a better punchline for my joke from last week so here we go again. I learned from a credible source* that if you say Sheduer Sanders three times you get millions of views. Shedeur Sanders Shedeur Sanders Shedeur Sanders. Fingers crossed it works.

Rookie points count just as much as veteran points when it comes to fantasy. Here were the five best of the week on a PPR scale!

The Browns faced the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts this week. Quinshon Judkins managed 47 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. IMO, only getting 2.9 yards a carry against an atrocious Las Vegas team is kinda embarrassing. Next week, the 49ers visit Cleveland, and it should be theoretically tougher (10th best rush defense in the league) to put up big points.

Yay! A real life actual rookie kicker made the list! Four field goals with distances of 41, 45, 19, and 52 yards came off his foot with ease! Add two extra points and he makes the countdown!

I was confused to see Dike make the list when his statline was only five catches for 44 yards and a touchdown. The math just wasn’t mathing. Turns out he also had a 90 yard punt return for a touchdown, too. Too bad those return yards don’t count towards fantasy points. Tennessee plays the 25th ranked pass defense of the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are playing without their part time stud Travis Hunter.

I listen to the Athletic Football podcast almost every day and they absolutely love Cam Ward. (In the small chance that you come across this: Hi Robert Mays! Big fan!) From a fantasy perspective, I just haven’t seen it. The team is allegedly horrendous and he’s doing what he can with what he has, so there may be hope in dynasty if you want to grab him and hold. Against an amazing Seahawks defense, Ward completed 28/42 passes for 256 yards and a touchdown. He also had six scrambles that led to 37 yards and another TD. Maybe Ward is finally settling into the pros. He can show the football world Sunday against the Jaguars who are ranked 25th in pass defense (I’m getting a strong feeling of deja vu…)

Ashton Jeanty played so well that he got his offensive coordinator Chip Kelly fired. Jeanty only gained 50 yards on 17 rushes. The money, errr, point maker this week was catching the ball eight times for 58 yards and a touchdown. The Chargers are the exact middle of the pack for rush defense. Let’s see if there’s a dead cat bounce of production from the coordinator firing.
Hold on for the playoff push. Good luck out there!
