Ultimate Rookie Report Week 14
I usually write the introduction last, but the Ladd McConkey stats are so crazy, I can’t wrap my brain around anything else. I’m excited to show you, and then we will all instantly forget it because he’s a Charger.
Points per reception scoring ranked my rookies, as per usual.

Looking at this game’s stat line makes absolutely no sense. Ladd caught nine of the 12 passes thrown his way for 117 yards. This means Herbert targeted McConkey on 52% of his passes for 56% of his completions and 79.5% of his passing yards on the day. What.

After a dismal first half with 13 yards passing and 10 yards rushing, Caleb Williams really turned it around. For the game, Williams completed 20/39 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran the ball four times for 39 yards. He almost completed the Thanksgiving comeback, only to get sacked and waste the last 38 seconds of the game.

Bucky seems to have officially taken the lead back role and ran with it (har har). Irving had 25 carries this week for 152 yards and a touchdown. He also caught all three of his targets for 33 yards. I am proud to inform you that this was the top performance by a running back this week.

This week Daniels pulled off a feat that former darling of the column CJ Stroud could not. He beat the Tennessee Titans. Daniels completed 25/30 (83%) of his passes for 206 yards and 3 touchdowns. Daniels also rushed the ball nine times for 34 yards and another touchdown. This is the second highest score for any quarterback this week, vets included.

Brock Bowers continues to dominate. It helps that he is essentially WR1 on the Las Vegas Raiders. Ten catches, 140 yards, and a touchdown is a good bet to get somebody to the top of the weekly countdown. Bowers’ 30.2 would have been the highest score of the whole week if it wasn’t for the crazy Monday night performances of Jerry Jeudy and Jameis Winston.
Out of curiosity, I looked up how Bowers compared to Sam LaPorta’s incredible rookie season. At this point in the season, Bowers is a full 25.6 points better (197.5 to 171.9). Wow! Bowers is also solidly in the lead this year as the best tight end by 34.2 points.
This is the final week before playoffs. Good luck on the final push. May each of you make the playoffs. I can say that because I know none of you are in my leagues and taking my spot.
Love,
@MeLlamoMoron
