Ultimate Rookie Report Week 14 2025
I want to hear your crazy fantasy playoff stories. Here’s mine. Last week, in the fantasy league I play in with my high school friends (and my wife), there was the potential to have six teams to be 8-6, fighting for most of the spots in the playoff bracket. If I’m being honest, I don’t know how I was one of them. My wife, who has been in last place, had a sixteen point lead and Dallas Goedert as she went up against Jalen Hurts, Devonta Smith, Orlando Gadsden (friend of the column), and Cameron Dicker. In a game that went into overtime (unders bettors know this is a disaster), somehow Jalen Hurts threw his fourth interception on the day. My wife won by 0.2 points. Do you believe in Monday Night Miracles?
Here are the rookies who scored the most points this week!

Marks managed 68 yards on 26 carries (an amazing 2.6 yards per carry) against the Kansas City Chiefs this week. Luckily, two catches for 8 yards and a touchdown saved the fantasy week. It wasn’t the most exciting performance to watch, but I truly enjoyed watching the Chiefs playoff window slam shut. Marks and the Texans play the Arizona Cardinals 19th ranked run defense, so things should be a little easier for him next week.

After talking poorly of Harvey’s number one performance last week, he improved his performance by 0.8 points. I can only assume I was the cork board material that motivated him. Against the Raiders, Harvey ran for 75 yards and a touchdown. He also caught six passes for 25 yards. The Green Bay Packers and their 9th ranked rush defense will be a challenge for Harvey. RJ currently leads the rookie class with nine touchdowns.

Remember last week when I said the Saints were going to have an interesting decision at quarterback next year? Against the division leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Shough balled out. His 13/20 pass day for 144 yards and an interception was meh, but he did major damage in the run game in a way that I don’t think anyone saw coming. Shough had seven carries for 55 yards and two touchdowns, including one insane escape from a sack that led to the game winning touchdown.
Just a hilarious aside, whoever wins the NFC South, whether it’s Carolina or Tampa Bay, lost to the one win or two win Saints in their own stadium. The Panthers, who are currently 18th in pass defense, head to New Orleans next week. Their volatility means Shough will either throw for four touchdowns or get completely shut down. For what it’s worth, when the Saints played the Panthers earlier this season, Shough had 19 points.
2. Harold Fannin Jr (25.4)
Did anyone expect the Browns playing the Titans to be the most exciting game of the weekend? As TE1 for the week, Harold Fannin Jr did everything he could to try and beat the one win Titans, including an incredible touchdown grab with a minute to go. Fannin led the game in targets (11), receptions (8), and yards (114). He also tied a bunch of people in touchdowns (1), but that’s just silly to count. The Browns take a short trip to Chicago and their 21st best pass defense.
1. Shedeur Sanders (34.5)
Shedeur Sanders Shedeur Sanders Shedeur Sanders. You gotta give it to him, Sanders had an insane week. Sanders was the second quarterback and fifth player overall in fantasy this week. Shedeur went 23/42 for 364 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. He also had three rush attempts for 29 yards and a touchdown. This is a MASSIVE game, but I have no idea what it means for the Browns or fantasy managers. If you are ballsy enough to start Shedeur in the fantasy playoffs, please tweet at me. The Bears are ranked two spots above the Titans in passing defense, so we’ll see if Sanders can keep rolling or if it was a crazy fluke.
Welcome to the fantasy playoffs friends! Good luck (or better luck next year)!
