Ultimate Rookie Report Week 4 2024

This season continues to be… odd.. Scoring is down and big underdogs continue to win games outright. As a gambler, this is a nightmare. As a fantasy manager, it isn’t a whole lot better. The good news for us is that the rookies continue to show that they are ready for the big league.

Rookie rankings are for a PPR league, but you would get the gist no matter how your league is scored.

5. Caleb Williams (19.3)

CALEB WILLIAMS MADE THE LIST. And it only took three weeks to do it! For some reason, Matt Eberflus had Williams throw the ball an absurd 52 times. Caleb completed 33 of those passes for 363 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw 2 interceptions. The Bears really need to get a run game established because no quarterback can hold up with this much volume for a long stretch of time. Then again, if he keeps throwing it like this, he’ll keep making it on this prestigious list. Pluses and minuses.

4. Bo Nix (19.3)

I keep hearing analysts call Bo Nix a point guard. That’s because Nix doesn’t focus on one wide receiver. He gives it to whoever can help the team the most. This week, he passed to 9 different players. Nix completed 25 of his 36 passes for 216 yards. A decent game statistically but not great for fantasy purposes. However, the majority of his points came on the ground. Nine rushes for 47 yards and a touchdown propelled Bo onto our list this week.

3. Rome Odenze (23.4)

Rome wasn’t built in a day. However, Rome Odunze had a big day last weekend. He caught 6 of 11 passes thrown his way for 112 yards and a touchdown. As long as Caleb and Rome keep growing, this duo could be a problem for the league for a long time.

2. Jayden Daniels (28.1)

On Monday night, Jayden Daniels had the most accurate passing game by a rookie of ALL TIME. Daniels completed 21/23 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns. His rushing wasn’t nearly as efficient (12 carries for 39 yards), but he did get a touchdown. Daniels is currently the number two quarterback in fantasy points scored and fourth best player overall . It’s early but there’s a strong case to say he was the steal of fantasy drafts.

1. Malik Nabers (28.2)

Nabers is still being targeted early and often in the Giant’s offense. Nabers caught 8 of 12 targets for 78 yards and two touchdowns. And all of this against the allegedly great Browns defense. It’ll be fun to see Nabers do his thing on national TV this Thursday against the Dallas Cowboys

I’m just throwing this out there, but I have a pretty strong feeling that two of the top 3 rookies are coming out of the Washington Commanders at Arizona Cardinals next week.

Good luck out there. It’s a weird season.
