Ultimate Rookie Report week 6 2025

As soon as somebody gets rolling this year, they get hurt this year. If you haven’t heard, Emeka Egbuka left the game this week with a hamstring strain. Egbuka underwent an MRI today, but it is unknown how long he will be out. On the bright side, if he misses significant time, it makes the rookie of the year race a little more exciting.
PPR rankings of the youngest players of the league (no Dillon Gabriel this week)
5. Ashton Jeanty (16.6)
It’s always nice to see Ashton Jeanty persevere through the dumpster fire that is the Raiders offensive line to make the list. This week he managed 75 yards and a touchdown off of 23 carries and he also caught two passes for a total of 11 yards. Jeanty is truly doing the most with the least amount of help. However, the Chiefs kept Jahmry Gibbs to 65 yards last week, so I don’t have much hope for Jeanty this upcoming week.

It only took 6 weeks for Tetairoa McMillan to score a touchdown. He liked it so much, he did it twice. The two touchdowns really saved a mediocre day, because otherwise McMillan only had three receptions for 29 yards. I’m patiently waiting for the big breakout where it all comes together. The Jets should be a nice matchup for him next week.

Tyler Warren led the Colts in both targets and yards. His six catches for 63 yards and a touchdown propelled Warren to the third best tight end of the week. Next week, Indianapolis goes to Los Angeles to face the Chargers who have kept tight ends (including Brock Bowers and Travis Kelce) in check this season.

The Giants may really have something here. Jaxson Dart is 2-1 since taking over the starting job and one of the wins is against the defending super bowl champions (the loss is against a team playing for the number one overall pick, but let’s just ignore that for now). Dart completed 17/25 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown. He also carried the ball 13 times for 58 yards including a 20 yard touchdown scamper. The Giants fly to Denver this upcoming week, who currently are 2nd in overall team defense and third against the pass.

This week, Skattebo carried the ball 19 times for 98 yards and three touchdowns. He also hauled in two passes for 12 yards. All of this against an Eagles defensive line with Jordan Davis and Moro Ojomo. Skattebo is easily the next rookie to get the injury bug. He plays like a bowling ball running through defenders. Enjoy the show while it lasts. Except for a game against Jonathan Taylor, the Denver Broncos have kept a pretty good lid on the running backs.
I feel like a real Debbie Downer this week with all of the projections…
Good luck!
