Ultimate Rookie Report Week 7 2024

The news of the day is the Jets traded for Davante Adams. Aaron Rodgers is carefully constructing this roster in a way that would win. I’m patiently waiting for the Marquez Valdez-Scantling signing (recently cut from the Bills). It would be the 2021 Packers all over again!

Fun fact: 9/32 starting quarterbacks last week had a first name starting with J. Jayden, Joe, Josh, Justin, Jalen, Jordan Jared, other Joe and Justin. I know, this is the hard hitting journalism you expect from the Ultimate Rookie Report.

Players in this column hypothetically did well for your fantasy team if you started them in a PPR format.

5. Bucky Irving (18.5)

Tampa Bay had an explosion of points this week. It was the second most points in the history of the franchise at 51. Bucky helped out by getting 81 yards and a touchdown as well as two catches for 24 yards. I am curious to see if the Tampa back field turns into a three-headed monster when Rachaad White heals from his foot injury. A three-way rotation would kill any value of all three running backs for fantasy purposes.

4. Jayden Daniels (21)

Another flawless game from Jayden Daniels. Daniels completed 24/35 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns. This week saw his least carries and yards on the ground, but who can blame him going against the Baltimore Ravens?

3. Bo Nix (21.7)

I swear Bo Nix doesn’t play the first half of a football game. Then, he scrambles to put together a comeback in the second half. This week, the comeback fell short, but Bo managed some decent numbers for fantasy purposes. Completing 19 of 33 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns coupled with six rushes for 61 yards led to the 9th best quarterback performance of the week.

2. Tyrone Tracy (22.7)

I REALLY like Tyrone Tracy. In fact, I’m personally trying to pick him up in dynasty leagues. I’m that bullish on him. In the past two weeks while Devin Singletary has been out, Tracy has been the 5th most valuable back in the league. Tracy has nearly surpassed Singletary in points in the two weeks he’s played versus the four Singletary has started. This week Tracy amassed 50 yards rushing and 57 yards receiving. He also got his first touchdown. Hooray!

1. Caleb Williams (29.6)

Caleb Williams had another easy defensive matchup to help build his confidence and momentum. He completed an impressive 23/29 passes for 226 yards and four touchdowns and rushed 4 times for another 56 yards. There was an interception in there too, but he more than made up for it. Next week we get to see the Rookie QB Bowl and I, for one, am very excited.

We lost another big name rookie this week in Marvin Harrison Jr. A concussion knocked him out of the game in the first quarter after catching zero passes. Concussions are tricky injuries, just ask Malik Nabers. We need both of these guys back to spice up the Report.

Stay healthy out there fantasy managers,
