Ultimate Rookie Report Week 9

The Spooktacular edition 2023

Sorry, for the lack of intro today. Took my son on his first Trick or Treat and I can’t think of anything to put here. So it’s all treats and no tricks I guess.

These adults dressed up as football players and they are ranked by the points they received last week for a points per reception league competition.

5. Dalton Kincaid (17.5)

Kincaid is really starting to come on in the past couple of weeks. Since the Dawson Knox injury, Kincaid has become a focal point in the Buffalo Bills offense. He is currently only the 15th ranked TE, but some early growing pains are weighing his average down. Last week, Kincaid caught 5 of his 7 targets for 65 yards and a touchdown.

4. Sam LaPorta (19.7)

In a year where tight ends are a weak spot in most lineups, Sam LaPorta rules. He is TE3 overall based on fantasy points. This week LaPorta caught 8 of 10 targets for 57 yards and a touchdown. Goff actually targeted LaPorta more than Amon-Ra St Brown. LaPorta will be one of my regrets this year. Unlike Addison, I believed in him and his potential usage on the Lions and didn’t pull the trigger in most of my drafts.

3. Jordan Addison (21.4)

Addison continues to be a viable replacement for Justin Jefferson. 8 passes went his way, and he caught 7 of them for 82 yards and a touchdown. Going forward, the problem for Addison will be that he lost his quarterback Kirk Cousins for the season. Can fellow rookie Jaren Hall consistently get him the ball?* In the two drives with Hall in Addison had 0 targets.
*The Vikings acquired Josh Dobbs at the deadline. Hall is starting this week but who knows what’s going to happen going forward.

2. Will Levis (26.62)

Who saw this coming? 4 touchdowns for the first game of your career is pretty darn good. Levis went 19/29 for 238 yards and no interceptions to go along with those 4 touchdowns. Let the Will Levis era in Tennessee begin!

1. Jahmyr Gibbs (29.9)

Jahmyr Gibbs had his national breakout party on Monday Night Football. He actually had a solid outing last week as well, but this performance was on display for everyone to see. He had a whopping 26 carries for 152 yards and a touchdown, with an additional 5 catches for 37 yards. It’s very exciting seeing our little first round RB get used appropriately. Hopefully it continues when David Montgomery returns.

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

Sincerely,

@MeLlamoMoron
