Wild Card Weekend In NFL Playoffs: Hot Philadelphia Eagles Are Dangerous

Let’s break down the first round of the NFL playoffs for both The AFC and the NFC. I’ll be adding my picks for each game, and telling you why most experts are complete idiots along the way. Let’s begin with The Defending Super Bowl Champions: The Philadelphia Eagles, and this year’s second most beatable wild card team: The Chicago Bears. We’ll let us dive right in.

1: The 6th seed Philadelphia Eagles (9-7) vs The 3rd Seed Chicago Bears (12-4). Who will Win?: The Philadelphia Eagles. Why: The Eagles are red hot, and while The Chicago Bears are very good this year they have do not have a hot QB, a hot offense, and don’t have much experience in the playoffs. (The last time the Chicago Bears made the playoffs was when Jay Cutler was the QB way back in 2010) The Bears boast a great defense, but so did The Vikings last year and The Eagles toasted The Vikes 38-7. Eagles QB Nick Foles and Philadelphia’s offense is so hot that if Chicago and their very young QB Mitchell Trubisky fail to put up at least 20 points Chicago could be the highest seeded playoff team to get destroyed at home. It could be a close game, but I think that The Eagles could very well run

away with this one.  I think that The Eagles will win, and it could get ugly for the Bears and young Mitchell. (He is going to face pressure from Chris Long, Fletcher Cox, and Mike Bennett all day long) If I’m a Bears fan I’d be wishing we were playing the reeling Vikings on Wild Card Weekend rather than the red-hot Philadelphia Eagles and St. Nick. Let us also not forget that The Eagles also seem to have The Bears number. The Eagles beat the Bears the last time the two teams meet up in the playoffs 33-19, and just last season The Eagles dominated the Bears (Same exact teams by the way.) 33-10. My score prediction: The Eagles top the Bears 39 to 21 in this one.

2- The Seattle Seahawks Vs. The Dallas somethings. I’d be shocked if The Seahawks (who boast far more balance on both sides of the ball) lose this game to the reeling Dallas Cowboys. (who have lost 2 of 3 as they’ve stumbled into the playoffs almost losing to the 5-11 Giants in week 17 in the process.) The only way Dallas can pull off the upset at home against The Seahawks is if WR Amari Cooper (who’s been cold as of late with dropped passes) finds a way to carry his average QB in Dak Prescott. Dak is simply a turnover machine and Seattle’s defense is built to take advantage of turnover-prone QBs. My score prediction: The Seahawks win this one easily: 35 to 17. (Let’s not forget Dallas is cursed as well thanks to Jerry Jones and the deal that he made with God back in 1995. It’s been nearly 30 years since they’ve reached just an NFC Championship Game. That is not a coincidence folks.

3- The L.A. Chargers Vs. The Baltimore Ravens. I think The L.A. Chargers may be the most balanced team in The NFL this season. The Ravens have QB Lamar Jackson, but The Chargers have Joey Bosa and Ingram to stop him from running wild. This might be the closest game of the playoffs. not just Wild card weekend. Both teams are very hot right now. I’m gonna go with the Chargers in what will be a nail-biter for fans of both teams. My Score Prediction: The Chargers beat The Ravens 39 to 38.

And last but not least: The Indianapolis Colts vs The Houston Texans. QB Deshaun Watson is a human highlight reel. He reminds me of QB Michael Vick after Andy Reid taught Mike Vick how to throw. He can beat you with his arms. He can beat you with his legs. He’s as good as a 100 percent healthy Carson Wentz. He’s had the kind of run that Wentz had last season (11-2 as the starter with 33 TDs) sans an injury. This season Watson has thrown 26 TD passes to only 9 INTs. He’s also run for 551 yards and 5 TDs making him accountable for 31 total TDs this season. Unlike QB Russel Wilson in Seattle, he has more than one WR to throw to as The Texans have maybe the best WR1 in the NFL in Deandre Hopkins but also features RB Lamar Jackson as a slot WR and a great RB1. He also has a good defense

across the pond so to speak. The Houston Texans have been soo exciting this year that I’d hate to see them be one and done. They are now the most popular sports franchise in the state of Texas! They have surpassed the stupid cows in popularity and fan base numbers and season ticket holders. Look it up! The Colts are hot too. QB Andrew Luck is having the best season of his career as he’s thrown for 39 TD passes this year. The Colts also have an amazing story. They started out 1-6 on the season then got hot and won out finishing 10-6 on the season. That is amazing! Frank Reich has also proven to be one heck of a coach for The Colts. Conventional wisdom says to go with The Colts and Andrew Luck. (Who’s been to the playoffs before.) The Colts have not lost since week 7! That said I’m going to roll the dice on the most popular pro sports franchise in Texas and I’m gonna pick The Texans in a very close game. The last team with the ball is going to score and win this football game. I don’t think either team has Super Bowl potential this year, but after My Eagles Game, This is the second most exciting Wild Card Playoff Game of the weekend. My score prediction: The Texans sneak past The Colts 38 to 35 in OT.
