1.01 RB Jonathan Taylor Wisconsin 5-10 226lb
Taylor’s showing at the NFL Combine thrust him into the 1.01 in most of the “industry mocks” I’ve been apart of recently, including a recent “ADP” Mock for DLF (DynastyLeagueFootball.com) that was set up by Ryan McDowell. There are still some experts that have D’Andre Swift as the RB1 in this class and I think it’s close enough that it will come down to landing spot. Similar to the last offseason when I had Miles Sanders as my RB1 but landing spot moved Josh Jacobs into the RB1 spot post-draft.
1.02 WR Jerry Jeudy Alabama 6-1 193lb
If I’m drafting today without knowing any landing spots, I’m probably taking Jeudy as my 1.01 as I think he and CeeDee Lamb are “landing spot-proof” — not-to-mention wide receivers tend to have longer careers and Jeudy could be a set-it-and-forget-it player for the next 10 years. Jeudy is the best route-runner in this class, and probably the best to come out in a while.
1.03 RB D’Andre Swift Georgia 5-8 212lb
Swift is still the 1.01 in a lot of experts’ rankings and I have no issue with him going 1.01. He didn’t do anything at the combine to hurt his stock in dynasty, Jonathan Taylor was just that good at the combine to pass Swift. Swift has the upside of a high-volume pass catcher, which could ultimately make him the better dynasty player. He is the RB1 “a” to Taylor’s RB1.
1.04 WR CeeDee Lamb Oklahoma 6-2 198lb
Similar to how Swift and Taylor are virtually interchangeable, Jeudy and Lamb are in a similar vein. Lamb didn’t do anything at the combine to hurt his stock, he did exactly what we thought he would. Modest, yet acceptable 40 time, great in the agility drills, and he may have had he singular best moment in the entire combine with his 360-degree catch with his feet inbounds. If someone told me they were taking Lamb over Jeudy, I’d have no argument — both are as close as you can come to sure-fire prospects.

1.05 RB J.K. Dobbins Ohio State 5-9 209lb
By not participating in the majority of the combine events, Dobbins remains a bit of an enigma. All eyes will be on his Pro-Day, but I fully expect him to be “as advertised.” However, if he does not show well at his Pro-Day, for whatever reason, Cam Akers could pass him in the running backs rankings after his strong showing at the combine. As it stands now, Dobbins is still the RB3 and 1.05 in this mock.
1.06 WR Tee Higgins Clemson 6-4 216lb
The next tier of wide receivers behind Lamb and Jeudy is fairly extensive with Higgins leading the pack for me. If someone had Ruggs or Reagor at 1.06, I wouldn’t complain too loudly. Higgins, like Dobbins, didn’t participate in the combine and his Pro-Day will be must-see-TV for NFL scouts and dynasty owners. His size at 6-4 216lb automatically makes him a red zone threat with whatever team decides to draft him.
1.07 WR Henry Ruggs III 5-11 188lb
Ruggs posted a 4.27 40 at the combine…and he was disappointed. He wanted the break the combine record set by John Ross a few years ago of 4.22, but 4.27 is nothing to sneeze at. Unfortunately, we have seen in the past that speed alone does not a wide receiver make. John Ross is the latest example of that as he has struggled at the next level. One thing working in Ruggs’ favor is the NFL is a copycat league and everyone is looking for their “Tyreek Hill.” The Ravens made Hollywood Brown a first-round pick last year and he had a stellar rookie season. Ruggs has the speed and stature to be that next Tyreek Hill clone.
1.08 Jalen Reagor TCU 5-11 206lb
Reagor is one of the few guys in this mock that may have actually hurt his stock at the combine. Thought to be in contention for the fastest 40 time with Ruggs, posting the sixteen fastest time has to be viewed as a bad showing. His 3-cone was another event he struggled with but he did post the second-highest vertical among wide receivers with a 42, but he will need to have a better showing at his Pro-Day or his stock could slip more.
1.09 RB RB Cam Akers 5-10 217lb
Akers may have done enough with his strong showing at the combine to push him into the conversation of the 1.01 with a favorable landing spot. He is a three-down back and natural pass-catcher out of the backfield. Combined that with the 4.47 40 he ran at the combine, good for fifth among running backs, Akers could be the best value in this entire mock draft.
1.10 WR Justin Jefferson 6-1 202lb
Jefferson had a solid combine overall. He didn’t wow anyone with his measurables but we didn’t expect him to. His 4.43 40 time is well within an acceptable range for a 6-1 200-plus pound wide receiver. Jefferson is in that second tier of wide receivers with Higgins, Ruggs and Reagor and a good landing spot could push him higher in rookie drafts in May.
1.11 RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire 5-7 207lb
Edwards-Helaire was hurt by his 4.6 40 time. Many expected him to post a faster time, however, he is still a playmaker and one of the better pass-catching backs in this class. He dynasty value will come down to draft capital and landing spot. His upside is unquestioned but the downside is real. Still worth the 1.11 in this mock draft.
1.12 WR Denzel Mims 6-3 207lb
Mims may have been one of the biggest risers coming out of the combine after posting the third-best 40 time among wide receivers with a 4.38. Already considered a well-rounded receiver going into the combine his 40 time puts him the conversation to be a team’s No. 1 WR. As with all these late first-round dynasty picks, draft capital and landing spot will be crucial.
