Premier League Fantasy Picks

The beginning of April begins the long run to home; with teams fighting for valuable points to secure top-flight safety, or wins to cement their Premier League title.

The best players come alive at this stage of the season, either because they want to secure their teams silverware ambitions, or maybe because they are seeking a move away from their current club once the summer transfer window opens. But, who are the players that should be included in your fantasy football team for the last month of the Premier League season?

Sergio Aguero

The Argentinean forward has enjoyed yet another brilliant season with Manchester City. He has scored 19 goals in the Premier League this campaign; making him the top goalscorer in the league. Aguero will be vital if the club is to realize their dreams and win the quadruple; while his league goal-scoring record will be essential for the Citizens to become the first back-to-back Premier League winners since Manchester United in 2009.

The Manchester City number ten will be a consistent selection for Pep Guardiola during the run-in since Gabriel Jesus has flattered to deceive when the stakes have been high for the club. He is always the odds on favorite to score the first goal with novibet.co.uk. This season the Manchester City all-time leading marksman also broke Alan Shearer’s record for the most hat-tricks scored in the competition.  Any player with a fantasy team should consider Aguero as an essential part of their team.

Virgil Van Dijk

Eyebrows were raised when Liverpool signed Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton for a world record fee in January 2018. However, since then he has gone on to become one of the best central defenders in the world. He has had an integral role in Liverpool’s charge for a maiden Premier League title and has helped Liverpool achieve their best defensive record in the league in the Premier League era.

The Red’s have only conceded 20 goals so far this season and managed to keep a league-high of 17 clean sheets this season. The Dutch defender is highly expected to be among the front runners for individual honors at the end of the season due to the quality and calmness he has brought to the team since their fourth-placed finish last season. Along with his marvelous defensive abilities, he has also scored vital goals for the club this season. If he isn’t already in your fantasy team, now would be the chance to add him.

Eden Hazard

Chelsea’s Belgium winger is the best player in the league when he is focused. Nobody in the Premier League has the same ability to run with the ball at speed weaving in and out of opposing player like Hazard. He is expected to end the season in fine form for a couple of reasons. The first of which is that Chelsea will need to win the majority of their remaining fixtures to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

However, the most likely reason that he will end the season in fine form is the upcoming transfer window. He has made no desire about his ambition to play for Real Madrid; and should he finish the season in his best form, they will happily part way with a likely record-breaking amount of money to sign the 28-year-old.
