NBA Fanduel Lineup and Advice 2/26/15

NBA Fanduel Lineup 2/26/15
NBA Games 2/26/15

Another rough night. Officially in a slump. Tonight’s 2 game slate is just what the doctor ordered. I’m going to take tonight off, re-group, and come back Friday fresh and ready to roll.

I wanted to still put something up here, so in case you have questions you want to ask, or just post your lineup so I can give you some “off the hip” advice.

You’ll notice a new format for posting comments. I integrated Disqus into the blog pages. Registration is super easy, and once you register, you won’t notice too much of a difference on your end then before. The difference is on my end. Not that you care, but I’m going to share anyway.

Replying to comments through the Wordpress app was a pain in the ass, and half the time it didn’t work. With Disqus, I get an email when you comment on a post, and if I reply to that email, it automatically posts on the blog. Pretty cool right? No? You don’t really care? Ok fine.

Also, I’m still testing my projection model, and so far the results have been awesome. I’m getting with-in 5 points over/under on 75% of the players. Now granted that’s after I go in and enter their exact amount of minutes, but still.

For those that don’t know, I’m working on a “user editable” projection chart. Without getting into complicated math, it basically gives a projection based on season avg, last 5 avg, pace, usage, defense vs position, and minutes played. What’s unique about it, is you, as the user, can edit a players estimated minutes, and it will update their projection based on those minutes.

So when you have a player due for an uptick in minutes, due to an injury, or the starter being demoted, or for any reason, you can change it to what you think he’ll get,  and the projection will adjust based on those minutes, using all the things I listed above.

The even cooler part is, it can be uploaded to an excel sheet that can then be put into dailyfantasynerd.com‘s optimizer, and will spit out an optimized lineup from you projections. Don’t worry, you’re not going to have to go through every player and add his minutes, the chart will default to their current averages, you just change the ones you want.

Ok, so I’ve bored you enough, and if you read this far, congrats! The blog will be back Friday, but feel free to drop me a line here.

Good Luck!
