Waiver Wire Week 9 (#FantasyFootball)

Ryan Fitzpatrick QB (Buccaneers)

(ESPN ownership 6.0%)

It’s time to believe in Fitzmagic again! After Winston had a horrendous outing of 4 interceptions Ryan Fitzpatrick came and lit up the Bengals offense almost pulling out the win. In his limited time Fitzpatrick was 11 for 15 with 194 yards and two touchdowns. With the talent surrounding him in that offense and a terrible defense Fitz has the ability to be an every week starter the rest of the season.

Aaron Jones RB (Packers)

(ESPN ownership 48.2%)

Fantasy football Twitter darling Aaron Jones saw his highest carry total of the year and flashed the skills that has everyone drooling. Jones averaged over 7 yards a carry on 12 carries for 86 yards and a touchdown. With the way Jones has played when given the opportunity there is no the Packers can keep ignoring it. As of now Jones is available in over half of the leagues on ESPN and should be the top waiver add if available. He is worth your remaining waiver budget.

DJ Moore WR (Panthers)

(ESPN ownership 10.4%)

In what was his highest target total of the year DJ Moore proved to the Panthers he was worth the first round pick. He converted 5 of his 6 targets for 90 yards against the second highest ranked pass defense in the league. Moore has slowly seen a steady increase in opportunities each week this season and if he continues this pace he’ll be fantasy gold come playoff time.

Josh Adams RB (Eagles)

(ESPN ownership 0.4%)

The Eagles are a team who believe in balance and running the football. Since Ajayi went out they have struggled to find a back who can go between the tackles and grind out games. Sixth round pick Josh Adams is looking to be that guy. So far in two games he’s averaging over 5 yards a carry and is getting more involved each week. This trend is one to keep an eye on and if you have a roster spot Adams can come cheap with the Eagles being on a bye.

DeVante Parker RB (Dolphins)

(ESPN ownership 21.6%)

It’s been four years in the making with DeVante Parker and he finally had a break out game posting a career high of 134 yards on six catches. With a plethora of injuries Parker has the opportunity to be a target hog for the Dolphins with 9 this week and the opportunity for more in the near future.

Jack Doyle TE (Colts)

(ESPN ownership 31.9%)

It didn’t take long for Andrew Luck to get into sync with his favorite target Jack Doyle. In Doyle’s first game back he caught 6 of 7 targets for 70 yards and a TD. This type of production should be the norm now with a lack of pass catchers in Indianapolis. Doyle is a must add off of the wire in a tight end starving league.

Jalen Richard RB (Raiders)

(ESPN ownership 50.0%)

The Raiders are a bad football team and in majority of cases they are a team you want to avoid in fantasy. The exception to this could be Jalen Richard, the receiving back for the Raider is the go to for Carr whenever he is under pressure. Richard led the team in targets back to back weeks with 8 making him a PPR machine. This is something that should keep up the remainder of the season that could pay off big time.

Josh Reynolds WR (Rams)

(ESPN ownership 1.2%)

This pick up should have an asterisk next to it being his potential playing time is linked to Cooper Kupp’s injury. If Kupp is out this game Reynolds has the opportunity to be an impact play. He showed that this week with his tremendous upside in the red zone scoring two touchdowns. If Kupp does come back it’s a huge detriment to Reynolds production. The other way to pick him up is in dynasty where Reynolds can be a long term investment for your team. The upside is there, we just need the opportunity.
