Fantasy Football: Waiver Wire Adds Week 12

Running backs
Javorius Allen-Ravens
Not Many people were thinking he was going to be on the waiver wire list this week. However, things happen, Forsett Broke his arm in week 11, leaving Buck Allen as the guy in this backfield.
He doesn’t have a big body of work for us to look at, so how good he will really be is still anybody’s guess. Coming into this week he did avg 4.3 yards a carry, which is good. He finished up week 11, with 22 carries for 66 yards on the ground, with some additional PPR scoring.
He isn’t going to replace the numbers Forsett was capable of producing, but, if you own Forsett, Allen becomes a guy that you have to have. If you don’t own Forsett, beating the Forsett owner to Allen is another good plan.
Tevin Coleman-Falcons
From the looks of things, Devonta Freeman suffered a concussion in week 11. Now before we go any further, it must be understood that Tevin Coleman can’t replace the numbers you were getting from Freeman.
However, if you’re looking to replace Freeman for a few weeks, he may be your best option this late in the season. He is a very explosive runner, so the potential for big numbers is there. He will need to get his fumbles under control if he wants to become a contributor this year.
Spencer Ware– Chiefs
I know Charcandrick West is the guy to own in this backfield. Many West owners may be weighing If they should own Spencer Ware as a handcuff at this point. With the severity of West’s injury unknown that is still a question.
Whether you should grab him is all relative to the makeup of your team, some guys just don’t have the roster spot to get him, you shouldn’t be re modeling your team to get this guy, as he isn’t a must own. He did however run effectively, with West out. If you have the roster spot and it makes you feel secure to have him then go for it. If we find out the West injury is serious, we should do what we can to add him.
Shaun Draughn-49ers

A few weeks ago he was watching football from his couch. Now we are debating whether we should be owning him, fantasy football is one of those things where anything can happen at any time.
Draughn is getting a lot of love in the passing game, which maintains his value. He is worth owning if you own Hyde or are just desperate for RB production.
Thomas Rawls-Seahawks
Word out of Seattle is that Lynch could end up sidelined for the remainder of the season, because of a possible sports hernia. We can’t run out and assume that Lynch is done for the year, but, now is the time to prep for it. The proper response to losing Lynch for the year, is to go out and get Thomas Rawls.
Wide Receivers
Rueben Randle-Giants
It’s not a good week to claim a WR, a lot of the more common names are owned in more than half of yahoo leagues, so I’m leaving them off this list.
Randle is an interesting guy to take a look at this week, even though it appears there is a chance he could lose his spot to Dwayne Harris. He caught 3 of his 4 targets in week 10, for just over 50 yards.
His numbers haven’t been great outside of that one big game he had. However, with the WR waiver wire not so deep, he is the flavor of the week. If we absolutely have to have a WR, he is going to be as good an option as any this week.
Leonard Hankerson-Falcons
This is the claim of the week at the WR position. Many Gms dropped him
over the last few weeks, because he missed some time with an injury.
He did have some bad drops this week, but, he corralled some big catches throughout the day and turned in a pretty good fantasy day. He brings a solid floor to the table, as I don’t really see him scoring less than 10 points in PPR leagues going forward.
His ceiling isn’t incredibly high, but, this late in the season, he is as solid as you’re going to find on the wire. If you need WR help this is the guy to claim.
Tyler Lockett-Seahawks
This is a risky grab, he doesn’t get a ton of targets, but, he seems to find the endzone enough that he can be an effective play on any given week. If you’re desperate and the above mentioned guys aren’t there, this is a decent home run swing on any given week.
Tight end
Richard Rodgers-Packers
This is another position that doesn’t have much to offer us this week. Rodgers gets targets, that’s about the best you can hope for on the wire for TEs this week.
He is dependent on catching touchdowns, but, if you’re desperate for help at the position he is worth an add.
Crockett Gillmore-Ravens
I guess he is worth an add, with Flacco done for the year, this isn’t really an offense you wanna tie yourselves to. We have to hope that maybe Matt Shaub can build a relationship with him and is able to get the ball out to him. The Ravens Offense is in a state of flux, so it is hard to know what to expect from them with all the injuries and changes.
Quarterbacks
Marcus Mariota-Titans
There isn’t much to see on the wire at the QB position this week. If you need to add a guy, Mariota would be my choice, but, with his WRs all banged up, he may not produce much either.
At this time I would usually tell you that you can find me on Twitter and to subscribe to our newsletter, but, we at going for 2, are saddened to hear of the loss of Bryant Meeks of the Agree to Disagree Podcast and the One Take Podcast Nation.
Bryant was as good as a guy that you could hope to meet in this business. He gave me my first chance to do any form of Broadcasting, on the Agree to Disagree Podcast. It was always a pleasure to talk football with him, I will miss the time we spent going back and forth over the Bears and Packers.
Bryant was also a loving father and we can’t forget those he leaves behind. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends and know that we at going for 2 grieve with you. Rest in peace Bryant Meeks, you will be missed.
