Giants pedestrian offense in dire need of help
The Giants have spent over 200 million dollars adding defensive Players to their roster via Free Agency, and truly believe that the combination of DE Oliver Vernon ( albeit highly over-payed. 85 million on his own.), CB Janoris Jenkins, and NT Damon Harrison will turn around last years bend and break down defense. While there are no guarantees in this league, These additions should help considerably. That being said they whiffed on WR Mohamed Sanu, and will likely be losing Reuben Randall’s services. If this team expects to compete they will obviously need a No.2 pass catcher opposite of WR Odell Beckham Jr. They also need Offensive Line help, and don’t have a long-term answer at running back. This wasn’t a great Free Agent class for Wideouts, but it wasn’t a bad one either. If they can lure Oliver Vernon into town, one might think Mohamed Sanu could have been an easy signing for the team. The draft helps. They can adress their other positions of need then. Giants fans ( other than a select few optimists high on Jermaine Kearse) have already voiced they must wait until the draft. Victor Cruz is now a possession reciever (if he’s healthy)/ mentor at best. Not an answer. I understand what the organization is thinking. They are nearly completely rebuilding their defense. However I am very surprised as to how seemingly undriven the team is to spending money on offense. The offensive side of the ball needs just as much help. Giants fans must be wishing hoping, and praying for an excellent draft.
