NBA DFS FanDuel Advice: Values 3/16/16

What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back once again with my NBA DFS FanDuel value plays. Wednesday night’s slate will consist of nine games on the schedule that are bound to rock your DFS world! In order to get some of the top studs such as Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins, you’ll have to look into the value bin for some cheap priced players. All of my value picks will be at or under $6,000, so let’s get started.

Here is my NBA DFS FanDuel value plays for 3/16/16:

Point Guards

Deron Williams, vs. Cavs ($5,600)

Williams is always a solid value option at point guard each night that he takes the court for Dallas. So far this season, he has averaged a solid 25.9 FD points per night for his DFS owners and draws a decent matchup of this slate. He’ll be facing off against a Cleveland squad, who has given up an average of 40.5 FD points per game to opposing point guards this year. I’m not saying Williams will go out and single-handedly win you guys some cash but he’ll be a nice stepping stone to achieving DFS glory.

Toney Douglas, vs. Kings ($4,500)

Douglas is actually one of my overall favorite value plays for this entire slate. In his last game for New Orleans, he played 38 minutes and scored an explosive 42 FD points for his owners! He’ll be facing off against a mediocre Sacramento defense that doesn’t defend well at all against opposing point guards, giving up an average of 43.2 FD points per contest to the position this year. I’ll have plenty of exposure to Douglas for Wednesday’s slate of games.

Shooting Guards

Zach LaVine, vs. Grizzlies ($5,700)

I really enjoy watching LaVine play the game of basketball but he makes me a nervous wreck when I insert him into my DFS lineups with his inconsistent play. This year, he has averaged a decent 21.8 FD points per night for the Wolves and should have no problems taking advantage of this matchup. Over their last five games, the Grizzlies have allowed an average of 36.8 FD points per outing to opposing shooting guards.

J.J. Redick, vs. Rockets ($4,800)

I’m not crazy excited about very many value plays at shooting guard for this slate, but Redick will have the opportunity to be a decent play. I typically enjoy playing guards that will be matching up opposite James Harden. This year, the Rockets have given up an average of 35.5 FD points per game to opposing shooting guards. So far this season, Redick has been a valuable DFS asset, averaging a consistent 21.2 FD points per contest for his owners.

Small Forwards

Evan Turner, vs. Thunder ($5,700)

I think this is a great matchup to have some exposure to Turner. With starting small forward Jae Crowder sidelined for the next couple of weeks, Turner should see at least 30+ minutes on the court for Boston. Over their last five games, Oklahoma City has allowed an average of 41.8 FD points per contest to opposing small forwards. This year, Turner has been a great play for DFS purposes, averaging a cool 23.2 FD points per game for the Celtics.

Matt Barnes, vs. Wolves ($5,600)

I’m not in love with Barnes on most nights, but with the plethora of injuries that Memphis is dealing with someone has to score some DFS points. This season, Minnesota has been subpar defensively, giving up an average of 35.4 FD points per night to opposing small forwards. So far this season, Barnes has been a decent fantasy option, averaging 20.9 FD points per game for the Grizzlies.

Power Forwards

Marvin Williams, vs. Magic ($5,900)

Besides Kemba Walker and Nicolas Batum, Williams is easily the most consistent option for DFS purposes for the Hornets. Over his last five games, he’s averaged a nice 29.7 FD points per contest for Charlotte and draws a juicy matchup for Wednesday evening. He’ll be facing off against a mediocre Orlando defense, who has given up an average of 42.4 FD points per outing to opposing power forwards this season. I will most likely have a healthy dosage of Williams in my lineups for this slate.

Serge Ibaka, vs. Celtics ($5,400)

Ibaka may very well be one of my least favorite players in the entire NBA but from a DFS standpoint he has a great matchup. Over their last five games, Boston has allowed an average of 46.7 FD points per night to opposing power forwards. This season, Ibaka has been a nice option for Oklahoma City, averaging a cool 25.6 FD points per game for the Thunder.

Centers

Robin Lopez, vs. Warriors ($6,000)

There aren’t very many of my value articles that don’t contain Lopez if he’s playing. He’s been one of the most consistent value plays at center this season, averaging 22.3 FD points per game for New York. He’ll be facing off against one of the best teams in history in the Warriors, who have actually been less than stellar on the defensive side of the ball lately. Over their last five games, Golden State has allowed an average of 54.8 FD points per contest to opposing centers.

Enes Kanter, vs. Celtics ($5,200)

Kanter is possibly my overall favorite value play for this entire slate! Not only has he been playing some amazing basketball for Oklahoma City lately, he also is drawing an ultra-tasty matchup for Wednesday night. He’ll be squaring off against a Celtics squad, who has given up an average of 47.6 FD points per night to opposing centers this year. Over his last five games, Kanter has averaged an insane 31.4 FD points per night off of OKC’s bench.
