NBA DFS FanDuel Advice: Values 3/23/16
What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back once again with my NBA DFS FanDuel value plays! Wednesday night’s slate contains a monstrous 12 games on the schedule that shouldn’t disappoint us avid DFS players. There are a plethora of talented value options to choose from for this slate, so let’s break it down. Like always, all of my value plays will be at or under $6,000.
So, here’s my NBA DFS FanDuel value plays for 3/23/16:
Point Guards
Deron Williams, vs. Blazers ($6,000)
The Mavericks recently lost one of their best offensive weapons in Chandler Parsons, so they’ll be looking to veteran guys such as Williams to pick up the slack. This season, Williams has been a solid DFS option at point guard, averaging a cool 26.2 FD points per contest for his owners. So far this season, Portland has had a lackluster defense, giving up an average of 41.6 FD points per night to opposing point guards. I expect Williams to be a great go-to option for DFS purposes on Wednesday evening.
Emmanuel Mudiay, vs. 76ers ($5,600)
Things have become a bit cloudy at point guard for the Nuggets with D.J. Augustin now seeing plenty of time at the position as well. Hopefully, Mudiay will continue to see between 25-30 minutes per game anyways, though. So far during his rookie campaign, Mudiay has been an excellent value play on FanDuel, averaging a solid 24.4 FD points per contest. Over their last five games, Philly has allowed an average of 46.9 FD points per outing to opposing point guards.
Shooting Guards
Avery Bradley, vs. Raptors ($5,800)
I’m just a huge fan of this guy because he just seems to love to play the game of basketball. So far this season, Bradley has been a consistent piece within Boston’s offense, averaging a solid 23.6 FD points per game for his owners. Over their last five games, the Raptors have given up an average of 37.5 FD points per contest and will have problems guards Bradley in my opinion.
Bradley Beal, vs. Hawks ($5,500)
I don’t typically talk a whole lot about Beal because he always seems to show up on Washington’s injury list. Well, he’s looked healthy as of late, averaging 29.4 FD points per contest over his last four games. So far this season, the Hawks have had a disappointing year, giving up an average of 34.1 FD points per game to opposing shooting guards. Beal has big play potential on any given night, so give him a look for this slate.
Small Forwards
Marcus Morris, vs. Magic ($5,400)
This season, Morris has easily been one of my favorite value options every single week because he’s just so darn consistent. So far this year, Morris has averaged a cool 24 FD points per outing for the Pistons and draws a tasty matchup for Wednesday evening. Over their last five games, Orlando has allowed an average of 40.8 FD points per night to opposing small forwards.
Hollis Thompson, vs. Nuggets ($4,400)

Thompson is kind of a diamond in the rough in the DFS world and should be taken seriously for this slate. He draws a great matchup against one of the worst overall defenses in the NBA in the Nuggets, who have allowed an average of 45.9 FD points per contest over their last five games. Over his last three games, Thompson has been great for Philadelphia, averaging a consistent 26.2 FD points per night for his loyal DFS owners.
Power Forwards
Tobias Harris, vs. Magic ($6,000)
This could be a great case of a revenge game for Harris against his old Magic running mates. This season, Harris has been an ultra-viable DFS option, averaging 26.9 FD points per contest for Detroit. He’ll be facing off against an Orlando squad, who has allowed an average of 42.8 FD points per game to opposing power forwards so far this year. I expect Harris to feast on this porous Magic defense!
Kristaps Porzingis, vs. Bulls ($5,900)
Wow, this guy’s price tag has really fallen over the last month, so let’s take advantage of it! I know, I know Porzingis is super erratic on the basketball court, but I’ve got a gut feeling Wednesday evening will be his night. So far this year, Porzingis has averaged a cool 28 FD points per game for New York and could easily see 30+ minutes in a competitive contest against the Bulls. This season, Chicago has been subpar against opposing power forwards, giving up an average of 40.7 FD points per outing to the position.
Centers
Robin Lopez, vs. Bulls ($6,000)
Lopez always seems to find his way into my value plays each and every week. In his last game against the Kings, Lopez played 38 minutes, scoring a monstrous 51 FD points that night. So far this season, he has averaged a super consistent 22.6 FD points per contest for the Knicks and should be in store for another decent evening. This year, Chicago has had a tough time defending against centers, giving up an average of 48.7 FD points per game to the position.
Bismack Biyombo, vs. Celtics ($5,700)
Part of me feels like even when Jonas Valanciunas returns for Toronto, Biyombo should still see the bulk of the playing time at center. The guy has been a massive addition to the value plays at center over the last week and could really do some damage once again for this slate. Over his last four games, Biyombo has averaged a huge 36.3. FD points per night. He’ll be squaring off against a porous Celtics defense, who has allowed an average of 47.6 FD points per game to opposing centers this season.
