Training Camp Week 1: DeAndre Hopkins Walks Out

Training camp is here!  There are several story lines to follow throughout camp.  Who will win the starting spot? Who will get cut or hurt?  Training camps are also a great way to see talent from those who are trying to make that roster spot on a 53 man team, so for dynasty, you need to follow the lesser known names.  Check in weekly throughout training camp to see the highlights and how they could affect your Fantasy team!

  • *Breaking New* This happened less than hour before this article was scheduled for release.

  • Nick Foles was cut by the Rams, after a request to be released.  Foles wasn’t too happy about the signing of Jared Goff and asked to be released right before the draft.  However, there wasn’t any interest then around the league for him.  Now that QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (Jets) has been resigned, there are no apparent starter jobs open for Foles.  His best bet now is to sign as a back up for a team and try to fight for a spot next season
  • The next one comes from Denver, but it’s not about Mark Sanchez and the QB Drama.  This is about WR Jordan Taylor making a one hand catch and a flip.  Last year, the now retired Peyton Manning was singing his praise.  He is currently fighting for the WR3 spot, along side Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.  If he can do this more during training camp, make big plays, he just might get the chance to do it when it matters during game time.
  • The San Diego Chargers started camp with out their number one draft pick, Joey Bosa.  He is wanting to change the language in his contract and to have his bonus money paid out at one time.  The Chargers want to stay consistent with how the approach contracts and are afraid to set a precedent.  Not only for themselves but the league.  Someone forgot to tell Bosa that rookie holdouts were a thing of the past!  Bosa was the missing piece to give the Chargers a chance to have a defense to win in the AFC West.
  • Arian Foster might have found a team to play with, but he is starting training camp on the PUP list.  He can be activated at any time.  The hope is to take it easy on him so he can start the regular season.

Check back next week for more highlights.
