NFL DFS Value Plays Week 3 | FanDuel

What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back once again with my NFL DFS FanDuel value plays. Week 3 is shaping up to be an interesting one for the DFS community, so I’m going to provide you guys with my favorite value options. Anyone can pick a guy such as Cam Newton to be a top play but you win with the right mixture of talent. Luckily, we’ve got two weeks under our belt, so I’ve got a firm grasp on who is a decent fantasy option.

NFL DFS FanDuel Value Plays for Week 3

Quarterbacks

Ryan Tannehill (MIA) vs. CLE $7,400

Tannehill just isn’t a quarterback that I typically like to advocate but I can’t deny this matchup. He’s managed to burn me more than once from a fantasy perspective but should come through for this slate. A matchup against this Cleveland defense seems to be what’s best for business these days. This secondary has already been burned by both Carson Wentz and Joe Flacco so far this year. I could see Tannehill throwing for 300+ yards and a couple of scores for Week 3.

Dak Prescott (DAL) vs. CHI $7,100

Prescott isn’t producing astronomical fantasy numbers so far in his career but the kid is poised and ready to go. So far this season, he has managed to average 14.3 FanDuel points per game against a couple of decent defenses. Well, the Bears have a terrible defensive unit, especially the secondary. I feel like this will finally be his breakout regular season game where he actually tosses us some touchdowns.

Running Backs

DailyFantasyNerd FanDuel Value Play of the Day

Melvin Gordon (SD) @ IND $7,100

If you don’t have Gordon in your fantasy lineups for this week, then you’re doing something wrong. The kid has finally proven himself with three rushing touchdowns in two games. Yes, he could slow down sooner than later but not against this awful Indy defense. Also, with Danny Woodhead now out for San Diego, Gordon will be without a doubt the workhorse back for his franchise.

Isaiah Crowell (CLE) @ MIA $6,900

Here’s the thing with this choice, Cleveland has an irrelevant passing attack, so they’ll have to run the ball a lot. Miami has given up 128.5 rushing yards per game this year, which spells good news for Crowell. The guy has shown that he’s very talented when given an opportunity. Crowell has already gained 226 total yards and scored to TD’s this season, so it’s his time to shine!

Wide Receivers

Jarvis Landry (MIA) vs. CLE $7,000

I can’t wait to pair Tannehill and Landry together for this weekend’s slate of games! His relatively cheap $7,000 price tag bedazzles me because he’s ultra talented. Yes, he’s only averaging 12.9 FanDuel points per game but he’s faced some stuff defenses in the Patriots and Seahawks. I truly think that Landry is going to feast on Sunday with a lackluster Dolphins running game, so don’t leave him out of your lineups.

John Brown (ARI) @ BUF $6,400

I can already see you guys shaking your heads as your reading this. Well, I’m going to be the guy that is right about Brown this weekend! He’s only managed to average a measly 1.6 FanDuel points per outing for his owners but will shine this weekend. Buffalo’s secondary has been burned over and over this season thus far and that’s where Brown excels. He’s a big-play threat, who can score a touchdown in the blink of an eye.

Tight Ends

Antonio Gates (SD) @IND $6,000

I was honestly torn between Gordon and Gates as being my top play this week. I chose Gordon but Gates could easily take that title in my opinion. He’s been a bit disappointing so far this season but now will be the main guy in San Diego’s passing attack. Other than Travis Benjamin, there’s really no other scary option on this Chargers squad. Like I said earlier, the Colts have an awful defense, so that’s a plus as well.

Dennis Pitta (BAL) @ JAC $5,000

This spot was a toss-up between Jacob Tamme and Pitta. I figure Tamme could be higher owned in a potential high-scoring atmosphere, so I’m rolling with a sneakier play. So far this season, Pitta has managed to average a cool 10.5 FanDuel points per game for his owners and has a nice matchup. The Jaguars’ defense has been rather flat to start the season and Flacco should be able to move the ball against them with ease.

Defense

Giants vs. Redskins $4,500

Some people believe that this will finally be Kirk Cousins breakout game of the season. Well, I feel the opposite actually and believe that the Giants defense will dominate this contest. New York has been one of the most surprising defenses this season and should be able to cause some turnovers on Sunday. Just look at what they did to the Saints potent offense last week!

Ravens @ Jaguars $4,400

The Ravens defense hasn’t been great this season but they’ve been consistent. So far, they’ve managed to average 9 FanDuel points per outing for their owners and draw a nice matchup for this slate. Blake Bortles has a keen ability to turn the ball over, which makes Baltimore an extremely good streaming option for this weekend.
