Fantasy Football: Five Gems for this Sunday, Week 6
5- Dorial Green-Beckham WR Philadelphia Eagles
Let’s face it. While the Eagles are set at TE they only have one proven receiver. Jordan Matthews is obviously their best receiver. He was already a very good receiver who is starting to look like a great receiver (In large part due to improved Quarterback play) Josh Huff is a bust, and Former first rounder Nelson Agholor has looked pathetic. Teams are starting to double team Jordan Matthews. When called upon Dorial Green-Beckham has played some impressive football. In very limited playing time DGB has 10 catches for 108 yards. He’s finally learned the entire Eagles playbook and has a very high ceiling. It’s time to find out how high against a bad Redskins secondary. Expect DGB to step up. Give me 5-8 catches for 85 yards and a score. If you’re in a PPR league, (points per reception) pick him up. Game prediction: Eagles edge Redskins 27 to 17
4- Ted Ginn Jr. WR Carolina Panthers
It hasn’t been the magical season for Ten Ginn, and The Panthers that many predicted. Kelvin Benjamin coming back healthy has taken quite a few targets away from Ginn. He’s barely outplayed a disappointing Devin Funchess. Cam Newton consistently getting hurt which puts the unimpressive backup Quarterback Dereck Anderson in several games has not helped. If there was a week to Start Tedd Ginn Jr. This season it would be this week. The panthers are playing the Saints, and while they have Drew Brees, They may have the worst defense in the NFL. No matter who is at Quarterback expect Ted Ginn Jr. to have a big day. Give me 5 catches for 90 to 100 yards and a score. Game Prediction: Panthers win big 39 to 21.
3- Blake Bortles QB Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jag’s season has not gone as planned. That being said they’ve still looked good offensively. The playoffs are likely out of reach, but this is a game where Blake should go off against a very bad Bears defense. Look for Bortles to spread the ball around, but to mainly hit Allen Hurns deep a few times. They’re aren’t many weeks I would suggest you start Blake Bortles, and sit a Quarterback like Matt Ryan, (Falcons vs. Seahawks) however this is one of those weeks. Give me 289 yards passing and at least 3 Td passes against the second worse defense in the NFL Game Prediction: Jaguars win big 31 to 17.
2- Marcus Mariota QB Tennessee Titans
The Browns only decent player in their Secondary Corner Joe Hayden likely won’t play, and even if his was it wouldn’t make a big difference. The Titans have certainly had their own struggles, but they look like a playoff team Compared to the Browns. Marcus Mariota still needs more weapons. That being said he will play very well against the worst team in the NFL this Season. Give me 350 yards passing with at least 2 Td passes. Game Prediction: Titans win Big. 37 to 17.
1- Tennesse Titans Defense
Josh McCown’s out Cody Kessler is starting again. Enough said. Expect the usually boring Titan’s D to pick up 3 or more turnovers against the Browns on Sunday.
