NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 12
Happy Thanksgiving GF2 fans! There are a great set of games this holiday weekend, including three on this turkey day with playoff implications. At this point in the season injuries begin to pile up, opening the door for the next person in line and to give others a heavier workload. These players typically receive a big fantasy boost, and this week is no exception. Here’s a look at some of our top GPP options this week on DraftKings.
NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 12
DailyFantasyNerd DraftKings GPP Play of the Day
RB Jay Ajayi (MIA) vs. SF $7,600
Ajayi has slowed down a bit since his back-to-back 200-yard rushing performances. He has been held to under 80 yards in each of the past two weeks without a touchdown. However, Ajayi gets a very favorable matchup against the worst rushing attack in the NFL. Expect the Dolphins to lean heavily on Ajayi come Sunday, despite being banged up on the offensive line.
Quarterbacks
Ryan Tannehill (MIA) vs. SF $5,500
Ajayi is not the only Dolphin expected to have a big game on Sunday. To be honest, when you’re playing the 49ers the entire team gets a boost. Tannehill has played some of his best football during Miami’s winning streak even though it hasn’t appeared that way when you look at his fantasy stats. That should change this week, however, as the Dolphin offense is expected to move the ball up and down the field with relative ease.
Carson Wentz (PHI) vs. GB $5,400
Wentz has struggled in recent weeks after a great start to the year. His fantasy value has been almost nonexistent, scoring over 20 fantasy points just once this season. The Green Bay defense, however, has been more than friendly lately. The Packers have given up an average of 38.25 points in their last four games. Wentz has a great opportunity to add to the Packers woes on Monday night primetime.
Other Notables: Russell Wilson (SEA) @ TB $6,700, Eli Manning (NYG) @ CLE $6,500, Carson Palmer (ARI) @ ATL $5,300
Running Backs
Thomas Rawls (SEA) @ TB $5,700
It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally Thomas Rawls time in Seattle. With C.J. Prosise not expected back until the playoffs, and Christine Michael now in Green Bay, Rawls has the running back position all to himself. Rawls is a little banged up following his first game back since Week 2, but he’ll be ready to go on Sunday with a heavy workload in play, and a Tampa defense that has been kind to running backs thus far.
Rashad Jennings (NYG) @ CLE $5,600
Jennings has been the Giants best running back for quite some time now, and it looks as though the coaching staff is finally willing to accept that. Last week against the Bears was the first time this season Jennings had over 20 carries in a game. He should see about the same against a Browns defense that has been nothing but favorable for opposing backs. His involvement in the passing game boosts his value even more.

Other Notables: Frank Gore (IND) vs. PIT $5,200, Wendell Smallwood (PHI) vs. GB $4,300
Wide Receivers
Dez Bryant (DAL) vs. WAS $7,700
Dez Bryant has been outstanding the past two weeks, totaling three touchdowns for 196 yards on 12 catches. He’s expected to be hovered by Washington’s Josh Norman this Thanksgiving, likely lowering his ownership some for the week. However, Bryant normally does very well in big games, and he shouldn’t have much trouble finding opportunities on Thursday. Bryant recorded seven receptions for 102 yards when these two teams met in Week 2.
Rishard Matthews (TEN) @ CHI $5,800
Matthews has become a viable fantasy option on a much improved Titans offense. The former Dolphin has clearly become Marcus Mariota‘s favorite target next to Delanie Walker. After a week where Matthews caught nine passes for 122 yards, him and the Titans now get a juicy matchup against the Bears, who continue to struggle against receivers.
Jordan Matthews (PHI) vs. GB $5,000
Jordan Matthews has seen at least 10 targets in each of the Eagles last four games, but has just one touchdown in that span, and only three all season despite being the Eagles’ #1 receiver. Things are likely to turn around for Matthews though on Monday night against the Packers. The Green Bay defense has been so dreadful lately that the entire Eagles offense not named Nelson Agholor gets a fantasy boost.
Other Notables: Larry Fitzgerald (ARI) @ ATL $7,000, Doug Baldwin (SEA) @ TB $6,400, Tyler Boyd (CIN) @ BAL $4,000
Tight Ends
Greg Olsen (CAR) @ OAK $5,800
There are quite a few value plays at the tight end position this week. So much so, that inserting another at the flex position to help pay up at other positions is not a bad idea at all. It should be noted that Rob Gronkowski is not expected to play again this week.
Olsen has been disappointing in recent weeks, and is now priced at his lowest point since Week 3. He remains Cam Newton‘s go-to guy, however, and could break out of his slump against a Raiders defense that is very suspect.
Jason Witten (DAL) vs. WAS #3,200
Witten has been hit or miss pretty much all season like most tight ends. The Redskins, however, rank in the bottom five against tight ends, putting Witten in a great spot this Thanksgiving Day at a favorable price. With most of the attention expected to be on Dez Bryant, opportunities for Witten should open up.
Other Notables: Jimmy Graham (SEA) @ TB $5,300, Zach Ertz (PHI) vs. GB $3,700, Kyle Rudolph (MIN) @ DET $3,700
Defense
Buffalo vs. JAX $3,800
The Bills defense has not been as dominant as they were to start the season, but they get a boost this week against the Jaguars. Jacksonville is very capable of putting up points, but it’s almost a guarantee that they will make mistakes. Blake Bortles has regressed in his third season, and has already thrown 13 interceptions this season. He’s also thrown 10 pick sixes in his short career, and you can be assured that this Rex Ryan defense will pressure Bortles all afternoon.
Other Notables: Tennessee @ CHI $2,800, Pittsburgh @ IND $2,800
