NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 14

Welcome to the Week 14 edition of our NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Plays. There are a full 16 games scheduled this week as every team has now had their respective bye week. With that considered, there are even more considerable GPP options this week as well. Here’s a look at some of my top GPP suggestions for Week 14.

NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 14

DailyFantasyNerd DraftKings GPP Play of the Day

RB David Johnson (ARI) @ MIA $9,800

I understand this may look like an obvious choice, but it’s important to note how valuable David Johnson has become. Johnson has been about as valuable to DFS as Russell Westbrook has for NBA lineups. He has exceeded 30 fantasy points in three consecutive games now, and a total of seven touchdowns in the last four. The Cardinals get set to face a Dolphins team already giving up 130 yards rushing a game that is now dealing with some key injuries on defense. Johnson is a must have in lineups, regardless of price tag, and there’s no reason to think he won’t exceed the 30 point threshold for a 4th consecutive week.

Quarterbacks

Andy Dalton (CIN) @ CLE $6,100

It hasn’t been the best year for Dalton and the Bengals, but the good news for them is that they get to face the Browns twice a year. Dalton is coming off an impressive performance against a pretty good Eagles defense. Now he squares off against a Cleveland defense, who he threw for over 300 yards with a pair of touchdowns against back in Week 7.

Carson Palmer (ARI) @ MIA $5,700

The Dolphins have been awful in consecutive weeks now against quarterbacks with their defense starting to look like it’s falling apart. Palmer has been a disappointment in fantasy for much of the season, but he’s thrown multiple touchdowns in three consecutive games now. A Palmer-Johnson pairing could make for a great combination this week.

Other Notables: Jameis Winston (TB) vs. NO $6,700, Trevor Siemian* (DEN) @ TEN $5,100

Running Backs

Jeremy Hill (CIN) @ CLE $5,800

Hill has been somewhat of a disappointment ever since Giovani Bernard went down for the season, and he was handed the workload for the remainder of the season. Despite his poor stat line though, Hill’s fantasy production has been respectable due to his increase in the passing game. The only team to give up more rushing yards than the Browns this year are the 49ers. Hill saw his best performance of the year in Week 7 when he crushed the Browns for a total of 192 yards. With Bernard out of the picture, Hill has the potential to exceed that mark.

Lamar Miller (HOU) @ IND $5,100

Miller had a disappointing week to say the least against the Packers last week. It was easily his worst game of the season, and could lead to low ownership in daily formats against the Colts this week. However, Miller should once again be highly featured in an important battle between top AFC South opponents. Miller torched the Colts back in Week 6, and as long as he’s considered healthy after battling a rib injury, could see similar production on Sunday.

Other Notables: Devonta Freeman (ATL) @ LA $6,100, Thomas Rawls (SEA) @ GB $5,700

Wide Receivers

Amari Cooper (OAK) @ KC $7,500

It has been hot and cold for Cooper this season making him a true boom-or-bust option. QB Derek Carr has two high profile receivers in Cooper and Michael Crabtree, which tends to see one or the other go off on a typical Sunday while the other looks on as a spectator. On a short week, I expect Carr to look for his #1 receiver frequently in a very important division matchup. With the Chiefs ranked last against receivers, deep pass attempts are sure to be expected from Oakland.

Malcolm Mitchell (NE) vs. BAL $4,200

With Rob Gronkowski out for the season, Malcolm Mitchell has and is expected to see added targets for the remainder of the season. Mitchell has had 17 of his 24 receptions in just the last three weeks. The Ravens are a solid defense but are only mediocre against receivers. Most of their attention should go to Julian Edelman, giving Mitchell added value going into this week.

Other Notables: Demaryius Thomas (DEN) @ TEN $6,000, Kenny Britt (LA) vs. ATL $5,200, Taylor Gabriel (ATL) @ LA $4,300

Tight Ends

Zach Ertz (PHI) vs. WAS $4,900

Zach Ertz is finally starting to see some consistency with rookie QB Carson Wentz. Ertz has had at least six receptions in four of the last five games now. The Eagles struggles that were expected this year have begun to show, and Wentz is leaning more heavily on his tight end as a result. After recording just one catch when these teams met earlier this year, Ertz is more likely to see production similar to the last few weeks.

Jason Witten (DAL) @NYG $3,100

Witten failed to record a catch last week for the first time since 2008. Not considered a top option to begin with, Witten’s ownership should be considerably low this week when the Cowboys battle the Giants. Witten should bounce back this week, however, against a Giants team he’s had a lot of success against in the past. In their Week 1 matchup, Witten saw the most targets (14) he’s seen all year. There’s little doubt the Giants will focus in on Ezekiel Elliott and Dez Bryant, which makes me believe the Cowboys will look for their veteran tight end often on Sunday night.

Other Notables: Tyler Eifert (CIN) @ CLE $6,000, Travis Kelce (KC) vs. OAK $5,700, Cameron Brate (TB) vs. NO $4,100

Defense

Detroit vs. CHI $3,600

The Lions defense has held their opponents to under 20 points in four consecutive games. They have also created seven turnovers in the last three games. Both streaks should continue this week when they host the struggling Bears. The Bears got the better of the Lions in Week 4 so revenge will be their focus as they look to distance themselves from the rest of the division.

Kansas City vs. Oak $3,100

The Chiefs ownership is sure to be considerably low when they take on the Raiders #1 offense. Despite the touch matchup, however, the Chiefs defense has proven they can produce in other ways. The Chiefs lead the league in takeaways and have recorded six touchdowns on the year. The Raiders have led the league in their last six games with over 32 points per game, but Kansas City held them to their lowest point total (10) on the season earlier this year. While Oakland is sure to exceed that number this time around, the Chiefs ability to create turnovers and score make them an intriguing option almost every week.

Other Notables: Minnesota @ JAX $3,900, Cincinnati @ CLE $3,500
