Draftkings and Fanduel MLB Lineup Advice 7/6/15
Top Pitching Options
Dallas Keuchel (DK – $9700, FD – $10300) – Chris Sale takes the bump again, and with how hot he’s been an argument could easily be made to ride him, but at such a high price and with such a terrible matchup (Blue Jays have a ridiculous 0.378 wOBA and 16.0% K rate vs. LHP), I like Keuchel much more. Keuchel has been great all year, with a 2.80 SIERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 21.3% strikeout rate. Meanwhile the Indians have been average against LHP this year, but have struggled of late with a 0.299 wOBA, 93 wRC+, and 20.6% strikeout rate over the last 14 days. He has 10 wins on the year and could easily pick up his 11th, making him one of the top plays on the day.
AJ Burnett (DK – $9400, FD – $9100) – Another pivot from Sale to a pitcher in a much better spot is Burnett. The Pirates take on the pedestrian Padres in pitcher friendly PNC Park. The Padres have an 88 wRC+, 0.292 wOBA, and 22.2% strikeout rate vs. RHP on the year. Burnett has a 3.29 SIERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 21.0% strikeout rate on the year. He’s the second biggest favorite on the day at -160, Burnett makes a great cash game play.
Chris Heston (DK – $6300, FD – $7300) – The biggest favorite on the day is Chris Heston at -163 as he takes on the struggling Mets. The Mets have a weak 82 wRC+, 0.284 wOBA, and 20.4% strikeout rate vs. RHP. If that doesn’t seem bad enough, they have a 46 wRC+, 0.230 wOBA, and 22.7% strikeout rate over the last 14 days. At only $6300 on Draftkings, he’s probably the best value on the night making him a great cash game and gpp option.
Top Hitting Options
Joc Pederson OF (DK – $4000, FD – $3300) – Joc has not hit the ball well of late, and as such his price is depressed, but there isn’t a better matchup for a lefty than against Sean O’Sullivan. O’Sullivan allows a 0.477 wOBA and 0.730 SLG to LHH along with his 4.98 SIERA. Joc still has a 0.394 wOBA and 0.296 ISO vs. RHP. At only $4000, he’s in too good a spot to pass up.
Jerrardo Parra OF (DK – $3700, FD – $3100) – Parra has been on fire of late and his price doesn’t seem to budge. He’s in another good spot against Matt Wisler who, despite his 2.60 ERA, has a 5.07 SIERA in his first three starts and regression is coming. Wisler also struggled against lefties in the minors, and Parra has a 0.353 wOBA and 0.164 ISO vs. RHP. Over the last 14 days, he also has a 0.432 wOBA and 0.200 ISO, making him a great cheap option in the OF.
