MLB DFS Pitcher Chart & Lineup Advice – 5/26/2017

Last Updated: 5/26/2017 – 7:05 AM CT

The pitcher chart is located under my top plays!

Top Plays

Max Scherzer

Scherzer will face the Padres at home in Nationals Park. I expected Scherzer to be around $13.500 on DraftKings, but he comes in at just $12,700. This price tag makes him a clear cash game option, and hard to fade in tournaments. The Padres really struggle to hit righties, striking out 24.4% of the time with a 83 wRC+. Scherzer is the biggest favorite on the slate, and has the lowest OTT (see pitcher chart).

Alex Wood

Wood is my favorite GPP option and may make my cash game roster if I can find enough value bats to make it work. The Cubs aren’t bad against lefties, but Wood is an elite pitcher and the Cubs take a park hit traveling to Dodger Stadium. Wood has a 29.9% strikeout rate and averages more than 30 DK points per game over his last three starts.

Eduardo Rodriguez

Rodriguez will face the Mariners at home in Fenway Park. While the park isn’t ideal, the matchup looks promising. The Mariners are 28th in the league in wRC+ against lefties and while they don’t strike out often, Rodriguez has strikeouts built in. He owns a 27.8% strikeout percentage this year and is the second largest favorite of the day.

George Springer/Astros

Springer has been cold lately, but his price has fallen way too far. He’s priced at just $3,600 on DraftKings, making him the second-highest point per dollar play on the slate. Evan Gattis, Josh Reddick, Carlos Beltran and even Carlos Correa are all underpriced for a matchup against Kevin Gausman. Basically, if you need a value bat, just play an Astro.

Coors Bats

With Carlos Martinez on the mound, I’ll look to stack Cardinals hitters over Rockies hitters. As weird as it sounds, Jedd Gyorko is the top overall play on the slate. Matt Carpenter is a close second, and both players should be locked into your cash game lineups. If Tommy Pham is hitting near the top of the order, he will be the best value play on the slate. He’s just $3,700 on DraftKings. I’ll reserve all Rockies exposure to GPPs.

Notes

Six of my hitter spots in cash games are either Astros or Cardinals.

Junior Guerra is a great GPP option considering his price. He’s far more talented than a $4,800 pitcher.

Aaron Nola could be a solid SP2 if he see a weaker Reds lineup.

If Tim Beckham leads off, he’ll be a great way to save salary against Hector Santiago.

The pitching chart will be updated often. Make sure to check back for the newest information, especially if a column is currently incomplete!
