MLB DFS Pitcher Chart & Lineup Advice – 6/17/2017

The pitcher chart is located under my top plays!
Top Plays
Stephen Strasburg
The Mets are a solid unit against lefties. They rank 26th in strikeout percentage and sixth in wRC+ against righties. Max Scherzer put up 35.2 DK points against the Mets on Friday night, and Strasburg gets the same matchup. Strasburg will see a solid park upgrade and has built in strikeouts. I’m not sure I’ll pay for Strasburg in cash games, but I’m having a hard time finding pitchers in great spots, so he may have to do.
Marcus Stroman
Stroman is the biggest favorite on the slate. It’s a great matchup for him against the White Sox who have a wRC+ of just 85. Stroman isn’t a huge strikeout guy, but he should go fairly deep in the game. I’m not thrilled about the price on DraftKings, but Stroman makes a solid tournament pivot.
Coors Bats
It’s a great day for Coors bats, the only drawback is the prices. Carlos Gonzalez is underpriced, but the rest of the Rockies are expensive. They’ll face Matt Cain, so they are the clear top option. I’m not playing many cash games, but will load up on Rockies in tournaments. I’ll likely try to get a bunch of Rockies mini-stacks and fit in pitching around them. The Giants don’t project nearly as well and are expensive, so I’ll probably avoid most of them in tournament and play some lesser-owned stacks.
Dodgers
The Dodgers are one of the lesser-owned stacks I like. They have a team run total of 5.5, and face one of the weakest pitchers on the slate. They disappointed for the most part yesterday, so people who were on them on Friday might not play them today. Corey Seager, Cody Bellinger, and Yasmani Grandal are fantastic plays while Joc Pederson, Justin Turner, and Yasiel Puig can be used to fill out Dodgers stacks.
Notes
Bryce Harper is the top overall play today even with Coors on the slate.
Eric Thames is still underpriced and is a great tournament play.
The Blue Jays, Mariners, and Rangers are all solid stacks for tournaments due to their high team run totals.
The pitching chart will be updated often. Make sure to check back for the newest information, especially if a column is currently incomplete!
