MLB DFS Pitcher Chart & Lineup Advice – 6/25/2017

Last Updated: 6/25/2017 – 8:47 AM CT

The pitcher chart is located under my top plays!

Top Plays

Michael Pineda

Pitching is ugly today, and Pineda is the most talented pitcher on the slate. It’s a bad park and he has an OTT of 4.5. That’s not ideal, Pineda is priced at $11,700 on DraftKings, but I’m having a really hard time finding pitchers I want to play. The Rangers strike out 23.4% of the time against righties, sixth highest in the league. They also have a wRC+ of 94 which is tied for 12th worst against righties. Pineda is the biggest favorite on the slate, so he has a solid shot at the win. It’s not a great play, but it might be the best on the slate.

Sonny Gray

Gray has pitched fairly well this year with a 3.94 SIERA. His ERA is almost a full run higher, meaning he’s been somewhat unlucky. He’ll face the White Sox who have the 10th highest strikeout percentage against righties and the 6th worst wRC+. At $8,600, Gray is a solid SP2, and a potential SP1 if you don’t want to pay for Pineda.

Jake Odorizzi

Odorizzi is priced at $7,900 on DraftKings and has the second lowest OTT on the slate. He’ll pitch in a pitchers park and the Orioles strike out at the 9th highest rate against righties. There certainly is risk with the power of the Orioles offense, but they rank just 16th in wRC+. I’m tempted by the combination of Gray and Odorizzi in cash games so I can fit in some expensive bats.

Hitters

I ran out of time to write full analysis, but here are my favorite plays (DraftKings prices).

Cash Game Locks

Mookie Betts – $5,000
Aaron Judge – $5,700
Khris Davis – $4,200

Strong Consideration

Trea Turner – $5,300
Hanley Ramirez – $3,800
Jason Kipnis – $4,000
Gary Sanchez – $5,000

Tournament Studs

Brandon Belt – $3,500
Eric Thames – $4,200
Evan Gattis – $3,400
Miguel Sano – $4,900
Manny Machado – $4,600

Notes

Tanner Roark is a solid SP2 for his price of $6,600 on DraftKings.

I’ll likely pay down at both pitcher spots today, leaving plenty of salary to fit in the top bats.

The pitching chart will be updated often. Make sure to check back for the newest information, especially if a column is currently incomplete!
