MLB DFS Pitcher Chart & Lineup Advice – 9/5/2017

Last Updated: 9/5/2017 – 6:31 AM CT

The pitcher chart is located under my top plays!

Top Plays

Jacob deGrom

DeGrom faces the Phillies in Citi Field. The Phillies have the 5th highest strikeout rate against righties and have the 4th worst wRC+. DeGrom is the highest priced pitcher on the day which could keep his ownership down even with this great matchup. I’m unsure whether I’ll pay for deGrom in cash games, but love him for tournaments.

Danny Salazar

Salazar is $2,900 cheaper than deGrom and will face the White Sox in Guaranteed Rate Field. The White Sox have the 8th highest strikeout rate and rank 25th in the league in wRC+. While not as bad of an offense as the Phillies, the White Sox offense allows for plenty of upside for Salazar. With the steep discount from deGrom or Stephen Strasburg, I prefer Salazar in cash games with Coors on the slate.

Michael Wacha

Wacha will face the Padres in Petco Park. The Padres rank 27th in wRC+ against righties and strike out 25.1% of the time, second highest in the league. At just $6,900, Wacha is a great SP2 option for both cash games and tournaments. He allows you to fit in plenty of Coors bats, and the pairing of Salazar and Wacha gives you almost $4,200 per player to fill out your bats.

Hitters

Here are some hitters I’ll have at least 50% exposure to.

Buster Posey
Freddie Freeman
Nolan Arenado
Trevor Story
Ryan Braun

Top Tournament Plays

Joey Gallo
Mike Trout
Aaron Judge
Rougned Odor
