Cut’em or Keep’em Week 3

The panic button has officially been pressed. Your RB2 isn’t getting carries and your WR1 has yet to score a touchdown. In short, everyone you drafted in underperforming, and you’re tired of it.

I hear you. But I urge you to wait just a week or two longer before losing hope. If you truly refuse to have someone on your team, at least try to deal them away for whatever their worth is at this point.

Cut’em or Keep’em Week X

 Greg Olsen, (CAR) 100% owned

Olsen has been a lock as a top-five TE since 2012, yet his 2017 season has gotten off to a terrible start. Through his first two games, Cam Newton targeted him just six times for three receptions and 28 yards. On top of the poor output, Olsen broke his foot, which normally is a 6-8 week recovery. Though Olsen will be on your bench for the majority of the fantasy season, he’ll be back for the playoffs.

Having a consistent and talented TE is extremely valuable, and streaming TEs for the rest of the season isn’t a viable option. Verdict:  Keep

Paul Perkins, (NYG) 96.2% owned

The Giants’ offense could not look worse, and Paul Perkins is a big part of the issue. With only 14 carries so far, he has amassed just 26 yards. Orleans Darkwa, a three-year vet, has put up more yardage on eight fewer carries. With that said, Perkins should still be the main back for the time being. While I don’t advise dropping Perkins, I do support trading him for another option    Verdict: Keep

Eddie Lacy, (SEA) 91.4% owned

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Once a sure-fire RB1, Lacy was a healthy scratch last week. At this point, Lacy provides no value in fantasy football as he is a backup to a 7th round pick and a UDFA. If is not suiting on for his own team, he shouldn’t be on your roster. Verdict: Cut

John Brown, (ARI) 59.7% owned

John Brown is a victim

of an over-crowded WR corps in a run-heavy offense. Prior to David Johnson‘s injury, Brown was 5th on the team for targets. Additionally, Brown is 4th among WRs in passing snaps. With statistical struggles and added injury risk Brown should not be owned in 10-12 team leagues Verdict: Cut

Cowboys Backup RBs, (DAL) 57.0-0.5% owned

A backup to Ezekiel Elliott should never be owned unless it is a deep league and you own Zeke. Somehow, Darren McFadden is owned in over half of ESPN’s fantasy football leagues. Mcfadden is now the 4th string running back behind Elliott, Alfred Morris, and rookie Rod Smith. Most importantly, it looks as though the verdict regarding his suspension of the former Ohio State RB will be pushed back until the 2018 season. Verdict: Cut
