NFL DFS Value Plays Week 3 | DraftKings

What’s up, GF2 followers! After a crazy first week of football action, I’m back with some great DFS value options for Week 3! I’ve got a feeling about a ton of cheaper guys that could do well for your lineups on Sunday. Every week I’ll be covering the main slate of games. Let’s get started!

The GameFly DraftKings Value Plays for Week 3

Quarterbacks

NFL DraftKings Values Week 3Matthew Stafford (DET) vs. ATL  $6,200

Stafford has been a fairly consistent fantasy quarterback thus far in 2017, averaging a super solid 21.1 FPPG for his owners. Heading into a matchup with the Falcons, who rank 26th overall this season at defending quarterbacks is positive news for the Detroit signal caller. I completely expect this game to potentially turn into a shootout which is exactly where Stafford excels!

Kirk Cousins (WAS) vs. OAK $6,100

I don’t expect many people to trust Cousins this week even with a nice matchup against the Raiders. So far this year, Oakland ranks 24th overall at defending against opposing quarterbacks. Like always, playing the Raiders could lead to a high-scoring game, which is perfect for our DFS players. Cousins hasn’t had a breakout game just yet this season but he’s also played some tough defenses in the Eagles and Rams. I expect him to bounce back in a big way for Week 3!

Running Backs

Jonathan Stewart (CAR) vs. NO $4,700NFL DraftKings Values Week 3

I firmly believe that there are some really solid lower-priced DFS options at the running back position for Week 3. Yes, Stewart has to share his workload with Christian McCaffrey but that doesn’t mean he isn’t getting plenty of touches. He’s averaging right at 16 touches a game and draws an extra juicy matchup against an atrocious New Orleans defense. So far this season, the Saints rank 27th overall at defending against opposing running backs. Stewart could easily score a touchdown this weekend!

Chris Thompson (WAS) vs. OAK $4,500

One stat that you should be looking for on DraftKings is a running back who sees plenty of targets within the passing game. Well, Thompson is your man this weekend facing off in a potentially high-scoring affair versus the Raiders. I think it could be a contrarian option to pair him with Cousins in your lineups and could really work out well. So far this season, Thompson is averaging a glorious 20.6 FPPG for his DFS owners.

Wide Receivers

Adam Thielen (MIN) vs. TB $5,700

This play will be based on whether or not Sam Bradford suits up this week for the Vikings. If Bradford is on the field, Thielen is one of my favorite value plays by far on DraftKings. In the one game that his starting quarterback played in, Thielen went off for nine catches and 157 yards. So far in 2017, Tampa Bay ranks 28th overall at defending against opposing wide receivers.

Rashard Higgins (CLE) @ IND $4,000

Higgins could very well be a chalk value play this week due to his high scoring upside and his matchup against the Colts. So far this year, Indianapolis ranks 24th overall against opposing wide receivers. After coming off of the practice squad, Higgins put in a solid day, grabbing seven catches for 95 yards against a stout Ravens defense. He’s listed as starting opposite of Kenny Britt this week for the Browns, replacing Corey Coleman following his hand injury.

Tight Ends

NFL DraftKings Values Week 3Kyle Rudolph (MIN) vs. TB $4,200

I’m just a believer in Rudolph and expect him to be a solid option this Weekend! Even if Bradford sits out, he’ll be a Case Keenum‘s safety blanket against a mediocre Tampa Bay defense. So far this season, Rudolph has managed to average a cool 10.1 FPPG for his owners. He’s always one of the most heavily targeted tight ends in football, so you can always rely on him for your lineups.

Jack Doyle (IND) vs. CLE $3,600

Doyle is one of my favorite overall value plays for this weekend in a tasty matchup against the Browns. He has quickly become Jacoby Brissett‘s favorite target, seeing eight passes coming his way last weekend. So far this year, Doyle has averaged a solid 11.0 FPPG for his owners. This season, the Browns rank 31st overall at defending against opposing tight ends.

Defense

PIT @ CHI $3,400

The Steelers defense has been pretty darn good this year, averaging a cool 13.0 FPPG for their loyal owners. This weekend, they’ll square off against a terrible Chicago offense that could give up a ton of turnovers. The Bears coaching staff has made it public that they’re not benching Mike Glennon, which gives me extreme confidence in this pick.

PHI vs. NYG $3,000

The Giants offensive line is absolutely putrid, making this a very nice value play week for the Eagles. So far this season, Philadelphia has averaged a consistent 13.0 FPPG for their loyal DFS owners. The Eagles have already racked up eight sacks this season, so expect them to cause havoc for Eli Manning early and often on Sunday!
