2017 NFL DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 11

Week 11 marks the final week of the season for byes. Originally, Miami and Tampa Bay were scheduled to have off this week, but Hurricane Irma nixed those plans. As a result, only Carolina, Indianapolis, NY Jets, and San Francisco, will get the week off.

Last week presented a lot of dull matchups, but that’s not the case this week. With the season more than half complete, teams will be fighting harder than ever for victories in hopes of playoff aspirations. That should reap benefits in the fantasy football world, but who can we expect to be the most productive? Let’s take a look at the top GPP suggestions for Week 11 on DraftKings.

The Gamefly DraftKings GPP Plays for Week 11

Quarterbacks

Derek Carr (OAK) vs. NE $6,400

There are a ton of good matchups for quarterbacks this week, but one that sticks out to me is Derek Carr “at home” against the Patriots. This game is actually being played in Mexico City. Carr started off the season struggling and injured, but he’s come on strong the past few games.

He has thrown for at least 300 yards in each of Oakland’s last three games. The Patriots defense is improving from what they were in the first quarter of the season, but they still continue to struggle against quarterbacks, paving the way for Carr to have a big game in a must-win situation for the Raiders.

Eli Manning (NYG) vs. KC $5,700

It’s no secret that the Giants have been one of, if not the most, underachieving teams in the NFL this season. Hosting the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday is not going to help matters either. However, the Chiefs defense is weakest against the pass, opening the possibility for Eli to pad the stats sheet. Kansas City will likely handle the Giants decisively, but with the Giants relying heavily on their passing game, Eli should be in for a productive game, even if most of it comes in garbage time.

Other Notables: Jared Goff (LAR) @ MIN $6,500, Matt Ryan (ATL) @ SEA $5,800

Running Backs

Kareem Hunt (KC) @ NYG $8,000

Hunt’s fantasy stock has dipped some over the past few weeks after starting the season red hot. He hasn’t scored a touchdown since Week 3, and has now failed to amass 100 total yards in the past two games after achieving to do so in the previous seven.

The Chiefs are coming off of their bye, however, giving Hunt some time to rest in preparation for the second half of the season. They travel to East Rutherford this week to take on a Giants team that was handled convincingly by what was a winless 49ers team. Even worse than struggling, the Giants look as though that they are giving up after being projected preseason Super Bowl contenders. Hunt and the Chiefs on the other hand, are in fact, Super Bowl contenders, and should have no problem running rampant against this depleted Giants team.

Kenyan Drake (MIA) vs. TB $4,800

Drake has made the most of his opportunity since the Dolphins traded away Jay Ajayi. While Damien Williams is listed as Miami’s lead back, it’s been Drake that has been the more impressive of the two, particularly in the run game. In consecutive weeks, he’s shown his ability to break one with his tremendous speed. The Bucs defense has been one of their major disappointments this season, and a strong contributor to their underachieving season. Drake could very well make it three weeks in a row at breaking one for a huge gain, and mix in his ability as a receiver, he could have another solid game since Ajayi’s departure.

Other Notables: Tevin Coleman (ATL) @ SEA $5,800, Jerick McKinnon (MIN) vs. LAR $5,700

Wide Receivers

Larry Fitzgerald (ARI) @ HOU $6,900

When Carson Palmer went down for the season, we immediately believed that it would hinder Fitzgerald’s fantasy value. However, after 15 receptions for 183 yards off of 23 targets over the last two weeks, that’s evidently not the case. Drew Stanton may not be able to go after spraining his knee last Thursday, but even if Blaine Gabbert draws the start, Fitzgerald would remain in line for a potentially huge game against the Texans awful pass defense.

Sterling Shepard (NYG) vs. KC $6,300

Shepard was the lone bright spot for the Giants last week against the 49ers. As I mentioned in my picks last week, Shepard is the Giants #1 receiver for the rest of the season, even if by default. Last week, he looked every bit the part with 11 receptions off of 13 targets for 142 yards. You can expect more of the same against the Chiefs, who continue to struggle against the pass without Eric Berry.

DeAndre Hopkins (HOU) vs. ARI $6,100

Despite the devastating loss of Deshaun Watson for the season, Hopkins continues to produce at a high rate. Tom Savage may be terrible, but he’s smart enough to know that Hopkins remains his best target, evidenced by the astounding 30 targets aimed Hopkins way over the last two games.

Hopkins has only been able to reel in 13 of those targets, but it’s helped him amass over 20 fantasy points on DraftKings in each game, a feat that Hopkins has accomplished in five of the last six games. The good news with Savage at quarterback is that it has dropped Hopkins’ asking price drastically. For a player of his caliber, $6,100 is a very fair price for this booming opportunity.

Other Notables: JuJu Smith-Schuster (PIT) vs. TEN $6,000, Amari Cooper (OAK) vs. NE $6,000

Tight Ends

Jason Witten (DAL) vs. PHI $4,000

Witten was much more involved in the offense against Atlanta than he has been in recent weeks. His seven receptions were the most he’s had since Week 5. With Ezekiel Elliott suspended, we can probably expect Dak Prescott to rely on his veteran tight end more than usual. With the Eagles ranking in the bottom 10 against tight ends, Witten has the potential for a very nice game in this primetime matchup.

Other Notables: Austin Hooper (ATL) @ SEA $3,400, Jermaine Gresham (ARI) @ HOU $2,800

Defense

Baltimore @ GB $3,400

Things just aren’t the same for Green Bay without Aaron Rodgers. Although the Packers ended their three-game losing streak at Chicago last week, their offense remains extremely limited with Brett Hundley under center. The Ravens defense has been an excellent fantasy option much of the year with a favorable schedule the rest of the way. Throw in the fact that Green Bay will likely be without their two leading rushers in this one, and the Ravens will be in line for a very productive afternoon.

Other Notables: Cincinnati @ DEN $3,000
