Fantasy Football: Cut’em or Keep’em Week 13

Welcome back to Cut’em or Keep’em. In this column, I’ll break down the pros and cons of each player that may be on the chopping block for your respective team. Make sure to check back each week for more fantasy advice!

Cut’em or Keep’em Week 13

Robert Woods, (LAR) 67.1% owned

Due to a shoulder injury, Robert Woods will miss this week and potentially the few games. With that said, prior to the injury he was a top 15 WR and had 700 yards in 10 games. Additionally, Woods solidified his role as the clear-cut WR1 for Jared Goff in one of the league’s best offenses. Over the final weeks of the season, the former 2nd round pick doesn’t face a top ten defense. Keep Woods on your roster as a late-season stash. Verdict: Keep

TY Hilton, (IND) 96.1% owned

Though just a few weeks ago TY Hilton was ranked as a top 5 WR, his inconsistency has caused him to fall significantly. He has scored over ten points just three times and under five eight times. You simply cannot start someone that ineffective in the playoffs with confidence. Adding onto that, he faces four top ten pass defenses over the final five weeks. You should try to trade Hilton first, but there is no other reason to keep him on your roster.  Verdict: Cut

DeVante Parker (MIA) 75.7% owned

Parker’s Career has been hampered by injuries so far, and this season is no different. The Louisville alum missed three outings in the middle of the season. When healthy, Parker has shown flashes of brilliance. The past two weeks he has just 31 yards, but prior to that, he was consistently putting up over 60. Parker is clearly a huge part of Miami’s offense with over eight targets three of his last four games. Lastly, his schedule is very appetizing with two bottom six defenses in the last four weeks.  Verdict: Keep

Marcus Mariota, (TEN) 72.5% owned

Mariota has been one of the most disappointing fantasy busts this season. As of Week 12, Mariota is ranked as QB22. Additionally, he has scored over 15 points once since week 3. He’s thrown only nine touchdowns this season, compared to 12 interceptions which is a ratio you never want to see from any quarterback. At this point in the year, it is time to give up.  Verdict: Cut
