NBA DraftKings DFS Values | 1/3/18
What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back at it again this season bringing you guys some solid NBA values for the Wednesday night slate of games! This slate will consist of a nice 12-game schedule to play with. Each week the majority of my value plays will be at or under the $6,000 price range. Let’s get this DFS party started!
Point Guard
Dennis Smith vs. GSW ($5,600)
As a Mavericks fan, I love watching this kid play the game of basketball! With this price-tag in an up-tempo matchup against the Warriors, Smith could truly pay off for our lineups. Over his last two games, Smith has scored 35+ FP for his owners. So far this season, Golden State ranks 19th overall at defending against opposing point guards. This year, Smith has managed to average a cool 26.9 FPPG for his loyal owners.
Ricky Rubio vs. NO ($5,300)
Rubio is kind of a hit and miss player but I do really like this matchup for him on Wednesday night. So far this season, the Pelicans rank 28th overall at defending against opposing point guards. This year, Rubio has averaged 11.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.6 steals per outing for the Jazz. This season, he’s managed to average a super solid 26.3 FPPG for his owners.
Shooting Guard
Evan Fournier vs. HOU ($6,000)
At this price tag, Fournier could easily put up 5x value against a lackluster Houston defense on Wednesday night! So far this year, the Rockets rank 16th overall at defending against opposing shooting guards. This season, Fourier has managed to average a consistent 29.4 FPPG for his loyal owners. In three of his last five outings, Fournier has scored 32+ FP for the Magic.
Trevor Ariza @ ORL ($5,900)
Ariza should be a popular play for this slate with James Harden out, especially since he’s also available to play at small forward. In his last outing, Ariza went for 26 points, four rebounds and a steal in 45 minutes of action versus the Lakers. So far this year, the Magic rank 20th overall at defending against opposing shooting guards. This season, Ariza has managed to average a nice 25.5 FPPG for his owners.
Small Forward
Jonathon Simmons vs. HOU ($5,500)
I’m starting to see a slight trend here that I’m going to be targeting this game a bit on this massive slate! So far this season, the Rockets rank 16th overall at defending against opposing small forwards. The minutes have been there for Simmons as of late, playing for at least 30 over his last four games. So far this year, he’s managed to average a decent 24.3 FPPG for his owners.
Trey Lyles vs. PHO ($5,100)

Lyles has been an ultra-viable option off of the bench for the Nuggets as of late and draws a great matchup for this slate. Over his last two games, he’s managed to score 31+ FP for his owners. So far this season, Phoenix ranks 28th overall at defending against opposing small forwards. This year, Lyles is averaging 9.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per outing for the Nuggets.
Power Forward
Derrick Favors vs. NO ($6,000)
Like Rubio, Favors is somewhat unpredictable but he’s been getting nice minutes as of late. Over his last three games, Favors has scored 30+ FP with at least 26 minutes per night for the Jazz. So far this season, the Pelicans rank 23rd overall at defending against opposing power forwards. This year, Favors is averaging 12.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game for Utah.
Kelly Olynyk vs. DET ($5,900)
Right now, James Johnson is listed as questionable for Miami. If he sits, Olynyk will be a nice play in a great matchup for our lineups. So far this year, the Pistons rank 24th overall at defending against opposing power forwards. In two of his last three outings, Olynyk has scored 31+ FP for his owners. This season, he’s averaging 10.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game for the Heat.
Center
Bismack Biyombo vs. ORL ($5,600)
Biyombo has been killing for our lineups while Nikola Vucevic is on the injury report for Orlando! Over the four games that Vucevic has been out, Bismack has posted three double-doubles and draws a decent matchup for Wednesday. So far this season, the Rockets rank 13th overall at defending against opposing centers. Over his last three games, Biyombo has scored 32+ FP for his owners.
Dirk Nowitzki vs. GSW ($5,100)
This will be a decent spot to get some Mavericks into your lineups, especially my guy Dirk. So far this season, Nowitzki has averaged 12.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per outing for Dallas. In five of his last six games, Nowitzki has scored 31+ FP for his loyal DFS owners. This year, the Warriors rank 12th overall at defending against opposing centers.
