NBA DraftKings DFS Values | 1/17/18

What’s up, GF2 fans! I’m back at it again this season bringing you guys some solid NBA values for the Wednesday night slate of games! This slate will consist of a nice 10-game schedule to play with. Each week the majority of my value plays will be at or under the $6,000 price range. Let’s get this DFS party started!

Point Guard

Rajon RondoRajon Rondo @ ATL ($5,200)

I’m not really liking very many value point guards for this slate of games at all. Rondo’s minutes have been down over the past couple of game but the guy carries 5x value almost every night. For this slate, he’ll face off against an Atlanta squad that ranks 14th overall at defending against opposing point guards. So far this season, Rondo has managed to average a cool 25.4 FPPG for his owners. This year, he’s averaging 7.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game for the Pelicans.

De’Aaron Fox vs. UTA ($5,100)

Like I said above, I don’t like many value point guards for this slate but Fox has been playing well lately. In five of his last seven outings, Fox has scored 27+ FP for his owners and draws a decent matchup for Wednesday night. So far this year, Utah ranks 19th overall at defending against opposing point guards. This season, Fox is averaging 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game for the Kings.

Shooting Guard

Kent Bazemore vs. NOP ($5,500)

Bazemore always seems to be a streaky fantasy option but I can’t deny his matchup for this slate of games. So far this season, New Orleans ranks 22nd overall at defending against opposing shooting guards. In two of his last four outings, Bazemore has scored 31+ FP for his owners. This year, he’s averaging 12.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.9 steals per game for the Hawks.

Will Barton @ LAC ($5,500)

Barton’s minutes can be a problem sometimes but he should excel in a great matchup against the Clippers. So far this year, Los Angeles ranks 28th overall at defending against opposing shooting guards. This season, Barton has managed to average a solid 29.6 FPPG for his loyal DFS owners. This year, he’s averaging 14.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists per outing for the Nuggets.

Small Forward

Tim Hardaway @ MEM ($5,900)Tim Hardaway

Hardaway drew a rest night on Monday, so he should be good to go for this slate of games. In his last outing, he blew it up, going for 25 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals in 33 minutes against the Pelicans. So far this season, the Grizzlies rank 29th overall at defending against opposing small forwards.

Justin Holiday vs. GSW ($5,200)

This pick is solely based on the increase in pace that Chicago will see versus the Warriors. Golden State is typically good at defending against opposing small forwards, ranking 9th overall this year. So far this season, Holiday has managed to average a consistent 27.2 FPPG for his owners. This year, he’s averaging 13.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game for the Bulls.

Power Forward

Nikola Mirotic vs. GSW ($5,600)

Mirotic will have a great chance at putting up nice stats for this slate of games against Golden State. So far this season, he’s managed to average a stellar 31.0 FPPG for his loyal owners. This year, the Warriors rank 16th overall at defending against opposing power forwards. In five of his last eight outings, Mirotic has scored 30+ FP for Chicago and will be in plenty of my lineups on Wednesday evening.

Ersan Ilyasova vs. NOP ($5,200)

Outside of Mirotic, I’m not really excited about any other power forwards. Ilyasova has had a hot hand lately for Atlanta. In seven of his last eight games, he’s scored 24+ FP for his owners and draws a nice matchup for this slate. So far this season, the Pelicans rank 15th overall at defending against opposing power forwards. This year, Ilyasova has averaged 11.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game for the Hawks.

Center

Jonas ValanciunasJonas Valanciunas vs. DET ($5,200)

This seems like a perfect spot to stream Valanciunas in our DFS lineups! So far this year, the Pistons rank 27th overall at defending against opposing centers. This season, Valanciunas is averaging 11.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for the Raptors. In three of his last six outings, Valanciunas has scored 39+ FP for his DFS owners.

Robin Lopez vs. GSW ($4,500)

With the lack of big-time value plays for this slate, I guess I’m going all in with the Chicago guys. So far this season, Lopez has managed to average a cool 23.5 FPPG for his DFS owners. This year, he’s averaging 12.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per outing for the Bulls. This season, the Warriors rank 16th overall at defending against opposing centers.
