Come draft day the most important picks are made in the mid to late rounds of your draft. However, we all know the team that usually wins, is the team that had that late round pick that steps up and leads them to a championship. Any guy on this list can be that guy.

Jeff Janis-WR-GB

Nobody was concerned about Jeff Janis until Jordy Nelson went down with an injury. Naturally all the attention is shifting to Devante Adams, but, Jeff Janis might be the name on everyone’s lips once the 2015 season ends. It’s pretty simple once you break it down, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb is a much better combo than Randall Cobb and Devante Adams. I think we all pretty much understand that.

Therefore, it isn’t a stretch of the imagination to say that Janis is already in line for more work than Adams was when Nelson was healthy. Furthermore, Devante Adams hasn’t proven himself and can easily find himself passed up by Janis should he get off to a slow start this season.

Jeff Janis comes from a small school, Saginaw Valley ST. So he hasn’t gotten as much attention as the players from bigger programs. In 2013 he lad the GLIAC conference with 83/1572/14 touchdowns. Now the cynic will tell you it is division B football, therefore, not as big of a deal as say leading the SEC.

He has tremendous leaping ability and he is going to surprise many people when it comes time to battle for balls. While he can run the short and intermediate plays, the Packers will find more use for him in the deep game. He accelerates through his routes making him very hard to cover. He can also create separation deep down the field. He will fit into the Jordy Nelson role much better than Devante Adams.

He does have some areas of his game that need to improve, but, who doesn’t. He needs to improve his catching ability, but, most deep threats have inconsistent hands. When he goes up to make catches he looks for the soft landing too often, he won’t find a soft landing in the NFL. He is going to have to learn to pay for his catches. The most important thing that he needs to improve on is his ability to get yards after the catch. All in all, this is a good guy to grab late and hope he can put it together.

Matt Jones-RB-WSH

He will start the season behind Alfred Morris, but, he won’t have to pass him to put in work. If we learned anything about the Redskins, it is that they love to step on Alfred Morris’s toes. There is a high probability that Morris won’t be returning to the Redskins next season. Also keep in mind the coaching staff inherited Morris, they went out and drafted Jones because they want him to be their guy.

Matt Jones is one of the bigger backs, similar to Morris in stature. But, he will surprise many with how quick he can actually be. He is a physical back who is going to explode up the middle. He also knows how to fall forward, so even when you stop him he is going to gain some yards. While he hasn’t been used much as a receiving back, don’t rule him out as a threat out of the backfield, the kid can catch.

There are some areas of his game that can use improvement. He needs to work on his outside running ability as it leaves much to be desired. He often gets consumed by running over defenders and misses holes. All in all though you could end up with a daily contributor to your lineup, for a later pick in the draft. That’s a good trade-off in my eyes.

Jacob Tamme-TE-ATL

I’ve been preaching all offseason that this was the year to own Jacob Tamme. He doesn’t have much in the way of competition at the position, with just Toilolo behind him. He finds himself with Matt Ryan as his QB and Julio Jones on the outside, these weapons should hep give him some room to operate.

We should see a decline in Roddy White and Harry Douglas has left town. There should be enough targets to go around that he could have a big year and also become a reliable red zone target.
