DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup Advice 4/21/18
DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup 4/21/18
Looking like another decent night. I missed on a few of my calls from yesterday, namely Serge Ibaka and Delon Wright, but overall I hit more than I missed. We have the first four-game slate in awhile today which should allow for some differential in our lineups.
All the series in the East are hotly contested games and we won’t have any sweeps as long as the Bucks keep doing what they are doing as I write this. The West, however, has three potential sweeps with the Jazz/Thunder series the only one where both teams have won at least one game. It’s because of these close games in the East, I think I may favor Eastern Conference players in my lineups this weekend. Let’s get started…
Point Guard
NBA DFS Legend
Nothing But Net | My top plays of the night at his position. |
Dunk | A Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside. |
Half-Court Shot | Otherwise known as a “punt play.” A Low-priced, high-upside player. |
Blocked Shot | A player I’ll be avoiding. Otherwise known as “Fading.” |
Nothing But Net | Russell Westbrook $12,000 @ UTA
I really wanted to convince myself to not use Westbrook here and every player I tried to put over him I felt like I would be lying just to avoid taking the obvious play. It may be hard to fit Westbrook in a lineup at his price, but I can’t really recommend anyone else as the top point guard.
Dunk | Rajon Rondo $7,100 vs POR
Breaking news: Rajon Rondo has officially changed his first name to “Playoff”. He will not be known as Playoff Rondo until the Pels get eliminated. He is flirting with triple-doubles everytime he gets on the court and is averaging 12.3 assists per game.
Half-Court Shot | Derrick Rose $3,600 vs HOU
Rose is a role player at this point in his career and role players tend to play better at home, and Rose is no different. I’m actually going to go as far as to say Rose will have a throwback performance in this game. That’s my hot take for tonight.
Blocked Shot | Damian Lillard $9,300 @ NOP
I’m really tempted to play Lillard in at least one lineup today, I just don’t see him having another bad game, but numbers don’t lie and the Pels have figured the Blazers out. Unless the Blazers make some drastic adjustments to their offense, Lillard is going to have a hard time scoring.

Nothing But Net | Jrue Holiday $8,300 vs POR
At $8,300, I’m putting him over Harden on a dollar for dollar top play. He won’t have as many FanDuel points as Harden, but he will exceed his value by more than Harden will.
Dunk | Dwyane Wade $4,900 vs PHI
I’m just going to keep riding the Wade train. His price hasn’t increased and I still think he wants to bring the series back to Miami for a Game 6 because this might be his last season. If the Heat lose to go down 3-to-1, this series will end in Philly.
Half-Court Shot | Jamal Crawford $3,600 vs HOU
This just feels like one of those Jamal Crawford type games. Down 0-2, some of the young guys on the team playing like the stage is too big for them, I think he looks to have a big game today. It’s more of a gut call, but I think the Wolves get their first playoff win in over a decade with Derrick Rose and Jamal Crawford making huge contributions.
Blocked Shot | C.J. McCollum $7,200 @ NOP
see Damian Lillard
Honorable Mentions: James Harden $11,900

Nothing But Net | Paul George $8,000 @ UTA
With the way Jimmy Butler has struggled so far in the playoffs, Paul George is the only top-tier option. With that said, the Jazz don’t match up well with him and he is primed for a big game here.
Dunk | Josh Richardson $5,800
Richardson had a terrible Game 3. Look for him to bounce back in a big way in Game 4.
Half-Court Shot | Gerald Green $4,000
The return of Ryan Anderson could cut into his minutes a little, but $4,000 is a good price for a guy with 40-point upside.
Blocked Shot | Jimmy Butler $8,600 vs HOU
Butler just doesn’t look right yet, and I don’t know if he’ll look right again this season.

Nothing But Net | Nikola Mirotic $8,100 vs POR
I’m just going to keep riding him, especially considering his price only rose $100 after his huge Game 3.
Dunk | Dario Saric $6,600
I was a little afraid his production might dip with the return of Joel Embiid, but it was Ilyasova that took the biggest hit. Saric is too cheap to fade with his upside.
Half-Court Shot | Ryan Anderson $3,600 @ MIN
This is a half-court shot with a blindfold. Anderson has huge upside at $3,600, but he also has a low floor. GPP only.
Blocked Shot | Ersan Ilyasova $6,100 vs MIA
Joel Embiid cuts into his production, he needs to drop in price more before I feel comfortable rostering him.
Honorable Mentions: Anthony Davis $12,700, Ben Simmons $10,200

Nothing But Net | Joel Embiid $9,600 @ MIA
He is the only center worth paying up for in the entire playoffs. Well, except Anthony Davis, but they still have him listed at power forward even though he hasn’t started at power forward since DeMarcus Cousins got injured.
Dunk | Clint Capela $7,900 @ MIN
He has 50 FanDuel point upside and one of the higher floors at the center position.
Half-Court Shot | None
Blocked Shot | Karl-Anthony Towns $9,800
The playoff stage looks to be too big for him right now. Maybe he breaks out, but I’m not paying $9,800 to find out.
