DFS NBA Fanduel Lineup Advice 4/24/18
DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup 4/24/18
I skipped yesterday’s article because, well, I fell asleep early. But, I’m back and well rested and ready to tackle tonight’s three-game slate. Before we get to tonight’s advice, just a few quick notes on some upcoming things at GoingFor2:
The GoingFor2 App is going through an update now that should help improve its usability. Pull down to refresh, faster load times, smoother transitions, etc. Hoping to have to have it live soon. If you don’t have the App, Download it here.
For all the NFL fans, I will be tweeting instant fantasy reactions to all the first round picks on Thursday night. I’m using the hashtag #GF2Draft. If you plan on tweeting anything during the draft, use that hashtag with a chance to win $50.

Okay, now let’s get to why you are here…
Point Guard
NBA DFS Legend
Nothing But Net | My top plays of the night at his position. |
Dunk | A Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside. |
Half-Court Shot | Otherwise known as a “punt play.” A Low-priced, high-upside player. |
Blocked Shot | A player I’ll be avoiding. Otherwise known as “Fading.” |
Nothing But Net | Terry Rozier $7,800 vs MIL
He struggled a little in Milwaukee with his shot, but despite not scoring more than 10 in either game he was able to contribute in other categories. It’s those other categories that give him a high floor and not that he is back home in Boston, he will find his shot in Game 6.
Dunk | Goran Dragic $6,300 @ PHI
The All-Star point guard found his groove in Miami, unfortunately, it only resulted in one as they come back to Philly facing elimination. There is an old saying, “The series doesn’t start until one team faces elimination”. If that holds true, then Dragic will be the one carrying this team.

Half-Court Shot | Shaun Livingston $4,000 vs SAS
Livingston has averaged around 20 minutes a game and is one of the more productive players off the bench for the Warriors. There is no reason to think he can’t keep on keeping on in this one. He won’t give you monster numbers, but his price will allow you to pay for someone else that will get you monster numbers.
Blocked Shot | Eric Bledsoe $7,500 @ BOS
Bledsoe has had a tough series and his price hasn’t dropped enough for me to trust him. He is at best the third option on the team and despite being the point guard, he is averaging less than five assists per game this series.
Honorable Mentions: None
Shooting Guard
Nothing But Net | Jaylen Brown $7,300 vs MIL
Excluding Game 3, Brown has been a force to reckon with at least 33 of more FanDuel points in those games, including a 53.1 Game 5.
Dunk | Klay Thompson $6,500
I said it before and I’ll say it again, Klay Thompson is a much better shooter at home than on the road. After putting up 34-plus FanDuel points in Game 1 and Game 2, he struggles in San Antonio with his game-high being 24.6. Now, he is back home in a potential series finisher. Thompson is going to be big. His price dropped thanks to those two bad games and his ownership will be lower as well.
Half-Court Shot | Dwyane Wade $5,500 @ PHI
Wade is cheapest shooting guard I’d feel comfortable playing so he gets this spot by default, but with two games in this series of 37-plus Fanduel points, the upside is there.
Blocked Shot | Manu Ginobili $4,500 @ GS
Don’t chase the points. Ginobili is 107-years-old and he won’t be able to do what he did again. Besides, I have a theory that you will learn about next…
Honorable Mentions: Khris Middleton $8,5000
Small Forward
Nothing But Net | Kevin Durant $10,900 vs SAS
Here is my theory, the Warriors wanted to lose Game 4. Why? Because they are going to win this series, no doubt about it, so why not lose a game and give Steph Curry more time to heal before you play the red hot Pelicans? As a Pels fan, I was rooting for the sweep because we would have likely gotten at least one, if not two, games without Curry. With that said, they are going to want to close it out tonight, and Durant is about to go Durant all over the Spurs.
Dunk | Jayson Tatum $6,700 vs MIL
Much like Jaylen Brown, Tatum had one bad game, at least when it comes to fantasy points. His ability to rebound, assist and get steals gives him a high floor, being at home should help his scoring.
Half-Court Shot | Justise Winslow $4,500 @ PHI
Josh Richardson is questionable for this game, but even if he plays he will likely be playing at less than 100 percent. The Heat can’t afford to play Richardson a ton of minutes if he proves to be ineffective, which could open the door for Winslow to play some extra minutes.
Blocked Shot | Giannis Antetokounmpo $11,300 @ BOS
I’m not saying absolutely do not play the Freak, I’m just saying temper your expectations. His fantasy production has dropped in each of the first four games. He could explode at any time, but for $400 less, I prefer Durant.
Honorable Mentions: None
Power Forward
Nothing But Net | Ben Simmons $10,500 vs MIA
With a potential closeout game tonight, Philly’s crowd is going to be insane and the rookie will feed off their energy to a big game. I try not to just pick the “top priced” guy, but in this case, to suggest anyone else as the top play would be a disservice.
Dunk | Dario Saric $6,400 vs MIA
With Simmons feeding off the crowd, all his teammates will benefit, including Saric who will bounce back from a poor performance in Game 4.
Half-Court Shot | Jabari Parker $5,200 @ BOS
The small ball lineup with Parker on the floor and the Greek Freak at center as given Boston fits and it’s a big reason why this series is tied. The Bucks aren’t going to go away from that lineup until Boston can prove they can stop it.
Blocked Shot | LaMarcus Aldridge $9,300 @ GSW
LMA put up a valiant effort all season to get the severely overmatched, under talented Spurs into the playoffs. Tonight is where it will come to an end. He can’t carry this team enough for them to beat the Warriors at home.
Honorable Mentions: Draymond Green $8,200
Center
Nothing But Net | Joel Embiid $9,500 vs MIA
Embiid is another player that will feed off the crowd in Philly, especially because this will be his first ever playoff game in Philly as he missed Games 1 and 2 of this series.
Dunk | Al Horford $8,000 vs MIL
Horford gets this spot by default because I refuse to play Whiteside. Horford’s upside is a bit capped. Yes, he put up 58.3 Fanduel points in Game 1, but that was with no Embiid in a perfect storm for him. His upside is more in the 40 point range. Good, but not great.
Half-Court Shot | Thon Maker $3,500 @ BOS
How is this guy still $3,500? Seriously? He will be 100 percent owned.
Blocked Shot | Hassan Whiteside $5,400 @ PHI
How is this guy still $5,400? Seriously? He should be zero percent owned.
Honorable Mentions: Aaron Baynes $4,400
