DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup Advice 4/28/18
DFS NBA FanDuel Lineup 4/28/18
I took a few days off from writing to enjoy the NFL draft, but tonight I’m back and ready to roll. These slates are going to continue to get harder as we dwindle down on teams, and eventually, Fanduel will start doing multi-day contests to ensure we have a larger player pool to choose from.
With only a two-game slate today, it will be hard for me to fill in all four tiers of players for each position, but I’ll do my best to give you my top guys. You will also notice that FanDuel lowered the minimum salary of players to $2,000. They do this every year as the player pool gets smaller.
NBA DFS Legend
Nothing But Net | My top plays of the night at his position. |
Dunk | A Dunk is a second or third tier player with the highest upside. |
Half-Court Shot | Otherwise known as a “punt play.” A Low-priced, high-upside player. |
Blocked Shot | A player I’ll be avoiding. Otherwise known as “Fading.” |
Point Guard
Nothing But Net | Rajon Rondo $7,100 @ GSW
Rondo was an assist machine in the first series averaging over 13 per game and missing double digits in a game just once (he had 9). This game will be played at a breakneck speed which should lead to plenty of assist totals for “Playoff” Rondo.
Dunk | Terry Rozier $6,900 vs MIL
He is really the only option at this spot, but with that said, he has had a pretty good series and averages 30-plus FanDuel points per game.
Half-Court Shot | Ian Clark $2,500 @ GSW
His price makes him a value and the fact that he played for the Warriors last season, maybe he gets an uptick in playing time.
He is risky for sure, but at $2,500, he is worth a risk in GPPs.
Blocked Shot | Eric Bledsoe $7,500 @ BOS
Don’t hate him…don’t love him either.

Shooting Guard
Nothing But Net | Jrue Holiday $8,300 @ GSW
Holiday and Rondo went up against what many consider to be the second best backcourt in the league in Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum and dominating them in every facet. Now they get the best backcourt in the NBA, and quite possibly, Top 5 in NBA history. This will be a good game to stack as it should be high scoring.
Dunk | Jaylen Brown $6,600 vs MIL
Excluding Game 4 when he had 53.1 FanDuel points, Brown has struggled on the road in this series. However, he hasn’t had less than 33 Fanduel points at home. At $6,600, 33 FanDuel points is exactly five-times value.
Half-Court Shot | Malcolm Brogdon $4,300
Brogdon’s minutes have been all over the place in this series with seemingly no rhyme or reason, but with his series high in Game 6, I would expect him to see 25-plus minutes in Game 7.
Blocked Shot | Klay Thompson $6,400 vs NOP
I’m fading Thompson with the assumption that 1) Steph Curry will be back and cut into his usage, and 2) Jrue Holiday will be on him, and while I don’t expect Holiday to shut him down, he will limit his effectiveness.
Small Forward
Nothing But Net | Giannis Antetokounmpo $11,500 @ BOS
Big time players show up in big-time moments, and it doesn’t get any bigger than Game 7s. The Greek Freak could have a “let me reintroduce myself” moment in Boston for Game 7, a place he hasn’t played as well as he has at home in this series.
Dunk | Jayson Tatum $6,200 vs MIL
Tatum has had an up-and-down series with a series high of 44 Fanduel points and a low of 17.6. The rookie will need to play well at home today if the Celtics have any chance at advancing to Round 2. His price tag gives him some nice upside for this game.
Half-Court Shot | Darius Miller $3,000 @ GSW
This is true shot in the dark, but the Pels are going to need someone to step up and hit some 3s to keep the Warriors from doubling Anthony Daivs, and Miller is a 3-point specialist. At his $3,000 price range, he only needs to 15 points to hit value, which is asking a lot from a player getting only 15-to-20 minutes, but on a two-game slate, you may have to take a few risks.
Blocked Shot | None
Honorable Mentions: Kevin Durant $10,500
Power Forward
Nothing But Net | Nikola Mirotic $7,900 @ GSW
FanDuel took my advice finally and moved Anthony Davis to center where he has been playing since DeMarcus Cousins went down. Mirotic will be defended by either Draymond Green or Kevin Durant, a tall task to say the least, but if he continues to shoot lights out like he did in the last series, it won’t matter who is on him.
Dunk | Jabari Parker $5,400 @ BOS
Parker has been an integral part of the Bucks success in this series and had he played more than 14 minutes in the first two games they might already be in the second round. His rebounding numbers give him a high floor.
Half-Court Shot | Marcus Morris $5,200 vs MIL
Morris has been much better in Boston than on the road in this series. He has averaged 27 FanDuel points at home and a mere 14 FanDuel points in Milwaukee. If this trend continues today, he is worth it at $5,200.
Blocked Shot | None
Center
Nothing But Net | Anthony Davis $12,500 @ GSW
The only player on the slate with 75-plus FanDuel point upside. He will be hard to fit in today, but will likely be the top points player.
Dunk | Al Horford $7,700
Literally the only mid-tier center on the slate. With Davis priced so high and the other centers being quite terrible, Horford may end up the highest owned player at center today.
Half-Court Shot | JaVale McGee $4,000 vs NOP
I’m not sure how he will be used in this series, especially if Curry is back, but at $4,000, he is a good GPP risk.
Blocked Shot | Thon Maker $3,600 @ BOS
Stop, just stop, please. We’ve been burned enough by this guy.
