Quarterback

Deshaun Watson – A first quarter fumble changed the game script in this matchup. The Texans played from behind and were limited in their attack without Will Fuller. The Patriots attempted to scheme DeAndre Hopkins out of the game, making it default for Watson to find success throwing. Watson added 40 yards on eight carries, but still scored just 11 fantasy points. Better days are ahead, so if you see a panicking Watson owner (who probably invested a high round pick in the young QB), make an offer. Watson is still a top 10 quarterback this season.

Also buy: Jimmy Garoppolo, Mitchell Trubisky

Running Back

Kareem Hunt – Hunt scored 4.9 PPR points on Sunday, disappointing fantasy owners. According to 4for4.com’s T.J. Hernandez, Hunt saw 72.7% of the Chiefs backfield touches, ninth highest rate on Sunday. Slightly concerning was the lack of targets for Hunt (1), but Mahomes only attempted 27 throws, and the Chiefs had a lead for the majority of the game. Tyreek Hill scored three touchdowns, two from distance, and one at the goal line. This effectively shortened two Chiefs drives, and stole a goal line touch from Hunt. I expect the Chiefs to be more balanced in the future, and Hunt is still a top 10 RB.

Also buy: Rex Burkhead, Alex Collins, Kenyan Drake, Derrick Henry (as an RB3)

Wide Receiver

Corey Davis – Of Marcus Mariota’s 17 throws to wide receivers on Sunday, 76% of them went to Davis. He recorded 12.2 PPR points, but saw 13 targets. With Delanie Walker out, Davis should see as much volume as he can handle. He’s a WR2 with upside right now, but you can likely get him cheaper. Dynasty players are aware of Davis and he may be more expensive in dynasty, but I’m still attempting to buy before he becomes a true WR1.

Also buy: Chris Hogan, Josh Gordon, Jamison Crowder, Allen Robinson

Tight End

Trey Burton – Burton had a tough matchup against the Packers who allowed more than 10 PPR points to tight ends only four times last season. Burton recorded just one catch for fifteen yards, but was second on the team in targets (6) in a game where the Bears held a lead most of the first half. Burton was one of the most hyped TEs coming into the year, and I haven’t lost faith in him. I’m buying where I can.

Also buy: George Kittle, Jack Doyle, Travis Kelce

Quarterback

Ryan Fitzpatrick – Fitzpatrick scored 42.3 fantasy points on 28 pass attempts in Week 1. He threw for 417 yards and four TDs while adding a TD with his legs. This is mainly a sell in 2QB leagues where quarterbacks are scarce, but with Jameis Winston’s return on the horizon, I’m selling Fitzpatrick for basically any other starting quarterback.

Running Back

Adrian Peterson – Peterson handled 26 carries on Sunday and still did not record 100 rushing yards (he finished with 96). He had 3.69 yards per carry and received the volume because Washington was leading almost the entire game. Peterson also added 2 catches for 70 yards (the equivalent of 1.5 touchdowns in PPR scoring). I don’t expect Peterson to contribute in the pass game in the future, especially with Chris Thompson as the pass-catching back. I’m selling Peterson based on name value and a solid first game.

Also sell: James Conner (if you believe Bell returns this season), Ezekiel Elliott (more of a sell low, but I’m still selling based on name value).

Wide Receiver

Tyreek Hill – Hill scored 42.3 PPR points on Sunday. It was encouraging to see Hill get a goal line target, as well as eight targets overall, but even eight targets is not enough to have consistent and predictable WR1 production. Hill continue to defy the logic that we should chase volume in fantasy (same with Alvin Kamara and to a lesser extent Chris Thompson), so while I’m selling and expecting regression, Hill is still a low-end WR1. If you can trade Hill for a target monster at WR or a high-volume RB1, I’d make the deal.

DeSean Jackson – Jackson scored 31.6 PPR points finishing as the WR3 on Sunday. He recorded five catches for 146 and two TDs on just five targets. His efficiency was insane in a game where the Buccaneers scored 48 points. I still prefer Chris Godwin to Jackson this season, and Mike Evans will remain the WR1 in this offense. Jackson is in the same mold as Ted Ginn Jr. They’ll both have spike weeks, but will be difficult to predict and will never see the volume needed for consistent fantasy production.

Tight End

Eric Ebron – Ebron recorded 4 catches for 51 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. He saw five targets. Jack Doyle recorded 7 catches for 60 yards. He saw ten targets. Per Scott Barrett of Pro Football Focus, Doyle ran a route on 92.9% of Andrew Luck’s dropbacks while Ebron ran a route on just 39.3%. I’ll take Doyle over Ebron as the Colts TE to own. I see Ebron is a TE2 who will likely disappoint when he’s held out of the end zone, but Doyle is a solid TE1 based purely on volume. Possible trade partners for Ebron are Doyle, Burton, and Kittle.
