DFS NBA DraftKings Lineup Advice 1/28/19

One of the things I like best about being able to write Daily Picks for you, my 3.555 readers, is the ability to interact. With that being said, I’m the kind of person who wants to hear from you whether I’m right or I am wrong. For example, on Saturday’s Slate, I went 1 for 2 on my value picks. My Corey Brewer pick was outstanding, while my Jaylen Brown pick was, shall we say not very good. If ever there is a time when I say something crazy you don’t like or on the opposite end of the spectrum help make you some money please get in touch with me. Now on to the picks.

Top Plays

DFS NBA DraftKings Lineup Advice 1/29/19

Kyrie Irving (9600 DK) versus Brooklyn

Kyrie against the defense of D’Angelo Russell, I don’t see why not. I also have some strange fantasy in my head that the Celtics take each game against the Nets extra seriously if only to remind them how they fleeced them with the trade several years ago. This has made the Nets life completely miserable in the aftermath. Kyrie put up 60 fantasy points against Golden State, and should have no problem putting that number up again here.

Trae Young (6700 DK) @ L.A. Clippers

This pick is incredibly dangerous, but what the heck. Trae Young is playing better as of late and put up 48 Fantasy Points against Portland. While Patrick Beverley is still a solid on the ball defender, he is not what he once was, and might not be guarding Trae the whole game. On a 5 game slate, I think Trae is a risk worth taking.

Value Plays

Avery Bradley (3700 DK) versus Atlanta

Avery Bradley is known as one of the lowest usage big minute players in the NBA. Against Golden State on 1/18 he put up 10 fantasy points in 33 minutes. Strangely, since then, Bradley has been a man on a mission and has put up over 21 Fantasy points every time. That’s all he needs to do to hit value here, and against the Hawks, I think that will be incredibly doable.

Alex Len (4300 DK) @ L.A. Clippers

Alex Len’s minutes have not been good lately, and yet with the exception of one game he always seems to hit value. Len does not have to do much to hit value against the Clippers, and with the pace the Clippers play, I would venture to guess Dewayne Dedmon might need more rest than usual. Good spot for a cheap Len.

Neva Plays

D’Angelo Russell (8600 DK) @ Boston

This pick is not because D’Angelo Russell burned me the other night (because he did) nor due to Kyrie’s stellar defense (what stellar defense?). I just think the Celtics team as a whole is incredibly tough defensively, and while D’Angelo Russell will show better than he did against New York the other night, hitting value here is not likely. Dinwiddie being out helps, but Boston is not a good matchup for D’Angelo Russell.

Myles Turner (6800 DK) versus Golden State

Myles Turner has been ok recently and is putting up 12.3 points and 7.3 rebounds up per game on the season. This pick is more about him going against Boogie Cousins and the Warriors, which is not the best matchup in the world for him and could lead to foul trouble and minutes issues. Try Al Horford at 6400 DK against Brooklyn instead.
