FanDuel MLB DFS Advice 4/11/2019

We are back for some FanDuel MLB DFS Advice for 4/11/2019. The weather looks all clear except for potential rain in Chicago. It’s looking like a strong wind out to left which could make for some good plays such as Kris Bryant and Javier Baez, but they wont be in this article due to high chance of storms. There is also a very strong wind blowing out to right field in San Francisco.

Pitcher Lock

Jon Gray (COL) $8,500 @  SFG

Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Jon Gray has a great matchup against the San Francisco Giants on Thursday. The Giants offense has been horrible this year, and Gray has had a decent start. He has 14 strikeouts over his first two starts. He has given up eight runs, but five of those were against the Los Angeles Dodgers, so I’m going to give him a break on this one. They are a few other options up top that look decent including Steven Matz and Kevin Gausman, but I like Gray’s floor more.

Infielder Lock

(1B) Pete Alonso (NYM) $4,100 @ ATL

New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso has had a great year. He’s averaging 19.16 fantasy points per game and has scored over 24 in his last three games. He has now hit home runs in his last three games. I look for the entire Mets offense to do well against the Atlanta Braves. Braves starter Kevin Gausman had a great against Miami to open up his season, and it might lead to high ownership in a slate of unappealing pitching options. I think this will be a good chance to take risk and try to take down some GPP contests. I want to stack some Mets against a high owned pitcher which would result in a double win if those hitters do well.

Infielder Value

(SS) Freddy Galvis (TOR) $3,000 @ BOS

There are a ton of great options at the shortstop position. Javier Baez, Dansby Swanson and Trevor Story are the top three salary players in this slate. While any of those three could have a big game, I think there is more value at this position than any other on the slate. Freddy Galvis has been pretty consistent lately for the Toronto Blue Jays. He has gotten a hit in five straight games now, and is averaging 11.17 fantasy points per game. Galvis has a .333 average with eight RBI and three home runs. There’s nothing wrong with paying up at shortstop but I think you’ll find just as much success with the value here.

Outfielder Locks

Michael Conforto (NYM) $4,000 @ ATL

New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto has been on fire lately. He has hit in nine of his last 10 games leading to an average of 15.85 fantasy points per game. He’s hitting .372 with eight RBI and 12 runs. The lefty gets favorable warm windy weather that benefits pull-hitting. Conforto is the most important piece in a Mets stack should you choose to go with that. He should probably be in your lineup regardless.

Hunter Renfroe (SDP) $3,700 @ ARI

San Diego Padres outfielder Hunter Renfroe has hit in six of his last seven games. He has been fairly consistent and is averaging 12.43 fantasy points per game. His power has been on display as he has four home runs already. He also has six runs and seven RBI. His matchup definitely isn’t the best on the slate but he’s a great stack if you choose to take Manny Machado in your lineups.
