DraftKings Value Plays- NFL Week 7 (10/20/19)

Let’s go ahead and get it out of the way. I’m sorry. I’m sorry for the horrible Josh Rosen take last week. Thankfully I don’t offer a 100% money back guarantee. Let’s move on to week 7 where we don’t have any glaring bottom barrel priced plays but a handful of ones just on the fringe of what I define as “value”

Please note, a ton can (and will) change between article posting and kickoff, follow me on Twitter for all my thoughts on additional value coming and going before lineups lock.

QUARTERBACK

Gardner Minshew ($5,400), Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals:

There are plenty of higher priced QB’s in great spots so I don’t know if we need this but if you find yourself in a price crunch, Gardner Minshew is in a great spot. The Bengals are missing 3 cornerbacks I believe and we not any good to begin with. The risk is Fournette gets all the glory in a good matchup but Jags could easily score through the air as well.

RUNNING BACK

Josh Jacobs ($5,000), Oakland Raiders at Green Bay Packers AND Joe Mixon ($5,000) Cincinnati Bengals vs. Jacksonville Jaguars:

Giving you a 2-for-1 special since they are on the line for a “value” and I honestly don’t see much below 5K (barring late injuries) that entice me. Not going to force an article when I don’t think I should recommend someone. Jacobs is facing a run funnel defense and if they have any shot at winning, the Raiders should feed him early and often. For Mixon, the Jags defense is all around bad and I think they have a chance at pulling off an upset in this one.

WIDE RECEIVER

Jamison Crowder ($4,000) New York Jets vs. New England Patriots:

Very stunned his price didn’t increase after last game. I get it, he is facing an elite defense but I fully expect Gilmore to shadow Robby Anderson which will open up plenty of dump offs to Crowder. I don’t expect him to find the end zone but could be a cheap source of 12-15 points by posting an 8 catch for 60-yard line.

TIGHT END

Hunter Henry ($4,000), Los Angeles Chargers at Tennessee Titans:

I usually try to dip under the 4K barrier for tight ends but this is just too good to skip over. Hunter Henry returned from injury and was very productive on Sunday Night. Since prices were already out for this week, it wasn’t adjusted. Henry will be chalk for certain but one I will gladly play. He will be 5K next week.

DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS

New Orleans Saints ($2,900) at Chicago Bears:

It’s rare I go for a road defense but there is a lot of potential for this Saints unit to put up defensive points. Already a pretty stout defense, they get to face either Chase Daniel or Turd Biscuits at QB. Neither one scares me. While the Bears would be smart to limit the times they have to rely on their quarterback, I will take my chances.
