Why The Heck Didn’t Jay Ajayi Play Against Pats?
I consider myself a very professional sports writer. I’m not going to be for this article because quite frankly I’m bloody mad. The Eagles lost yet another important and winnable game because their offense could not get out of their own way. That considered, there’s one weapon that could have given them a huge boost and an edge in this game, and the man did not see a single snap. With Jordan Howard sidelined with an injury The Philadelphia Eagles decided to role with Miles Sanders and Boston Scott. Playing Sanders certainly makes sense, but running little Boston Scott up the middle? No just bloody fucking no! Scott is a scatback! He’s a talented young player but he is a pass-catching back, not a bruiser. The Eagles desperately needed a bruising back to beat the stupid cheating Patriots.
If only they would have had one active…oh fucking wait a minute…They did!!! Jay Ajayi was indeed active against the pats and his nickname is Jay Train for the love of God!!!!!! Jay Ajayi was a major reason why The Eagles beat The Patriots In Super Bowl 52. So, what was Doug Pederson’s excuse for not playing arguably the best back they have until Jordan Howard can play again? He was recently signed back onto the roster and barely practiced during the week. SO WHAT? He already knows the offense and has played with Eagles QB Carson Wentz for a season and a half!!!!!!! The Eagles now find themselves at 5-5 at a game back from first place In the NFC East. The only reason that they’re only a game back in their division is that the Dallas Cowboys are just as inconsistent as they are this year. Dallas has had an easier schedule and The Eagles have played tougher opponents thus far. Side Note: I had Ajayi on my bloody fantasy football team because the idiots at FanDuel told me to pick him up for the game.
Here is the good news: Dallas is about to play some tough games that they most likely won’t win. Put money down for a Dallas loss in New England this Sunday. After this Sunday The Eagles should (keyword should) win the rest of their games. There is absolutely no chance at any team in this division sneaking into the playoffs with a wild card spot this season. The Seahawks and the Vikings barring key injuries or maybe a plane crash are your two NFC wildcard teams for the playoffs this season. The only path for the dirty birds to get in is to win at least five of their last six games. They should actually be able to. Their getting some players back healthy, and the rest of their schedule after thisĀ Sunday is comically easy. They have a tough but winnable game at home against Russel Wilson and whatever team he plays for, (Wilson is his whole team and that’s enough to be considered tough game) The Giants twice, an even worse Redskins team than they beat in week one and they close the season out in a game they will win in my opinion at home against the more lucky than good Dallas something or other. Dallas is overrated.
Bold prediction: The Eagles will win indeed win just enough games to win the NFC East and sneak into the playoffs, and since they will finally have their best player back WR Desean Jackson back for the WildCard round of the playoffs they will win 2 playoff games. They will lose a heartbreaking close game to The 49ers due to a very bad penalty call in the NFC Championship game. I’ll take it. Even bolder prediction they will beat the Vikings in the NFC Championship game next season and win their second Super Bowl title against the Colts by 20 or more points. Even Bolder prediction than that: JAY AJAYI WILL ACTUALLY CARRY THE DAMN FOOTBALL IN ALL OF THOSE FOOTBALL GAMES!!
