The top stacks to consider in DFS- NFL Week 3

Welcome to the weekly stack article for NFL on DraftKings. The concept behind stacking is simple; the players benefit from each other, compounding the amount of points derived from that play for your fantasy lineup. Most GPP winning lineups will incorporate a stacking methodology in their lineup. Most people think of a traditional QB-WR stack (which is certainly viable) but I will provide a few other ways to effectively stack and increase the ceiling of your team.

Please note, a ton can (and will) change between article posting and kickoff, follow me on Twitter for all my thoughts on additional value coming and going before lineups lock.

The Classic Stack: QB to pass catcher

Kyler Murray ($6,800) to DeAndre Hopkins ($7,900) Arizona Cardinals vs. Detroit Lions:

An expensive, and probably chalky stack, to start the article. There will be plenty of value at the WR and RB position to create space for these guys. News came out today that Christian Kirk is also set to miss which will give Hopkins a few extra looks. Lock and load against this horrible defense.

The Impossible Stacker: QB to RB

Justin Herbert ($5,900) to Austin Ekeler ($6,800) Los Angeles Chargers vs. Carolina Panthers:

I call this the impossible stacker as it’s the “faux meat” to the real QB-WR stack. However, when you think you can corner the scoring market with the QB and RB, it is worth a gamble. That’s the spot we find the Chargers in against the Panthers. Ekeler should be able to run through this horrible defense and Herbert will do the same. If they connect on a passing TD, which is feasible, YAHTZEE!

The Game Stack: QB to Pass Catcher, bring it back with opposing pass catcher

Russell Wilson ($7,300) to DK Metcalf ($6,500) bring it back with CeeDee Lamb ($5,400) Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys:

Another week, another SMASH game where we could name either quarterback and all the pass catchers. Take your pick, just make sure to have 3+ players from this game. I won’t be getting cute and avoiding this game.

Jonathan Taylor ($7,000) and Colts D/ST ($4,100) Indianapolis Colts vs. New York Jets:

Kudos to Draftkings for making the Colts defense the highest price on the week. Otherwise this would be a no brainer. People won’t like spending 4K on a defense but the Jets are absolutely horrible and decimated by injuries, so they make an intriguing GPP options. Betting on the defense also means betting on a team like the Colts taking a lead and running the ball to victory. Jonathan Taylor saw a massive price jump this week which I hope scares some people off him.
