2021 Dynasty Prospect: Amon-Ra St. Brown, USC
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Southern California 6’1″ 195
Strengths
- Football bloodlines, brother Equanimeous is a Packers WR
- Loves contact, de-cleating block against Utah
- Natural after the catch running ability, lined up at RB several times in 2019 scoring a long TD run vs Colorado
- Showed continual development on making plays on the ball in the air between 2019 to 2020
Weaknesses
- Not a burner, expected to run in the mid 4.5s at best
- Uses his body well, but combined with the lack of speed it limits his top-end impact
NFL Player Comparison | Robert Woods
2020 Dynasty Rookie Draft Projection | Late 1st/Early 2nd
Bottom Line
It is really hard to not naturally go to a Robert Woods comparison watching tape in the USC uniform. The team schemed touches out of the backfield due to his excellent run after the catch. He was great around the goal line in 2020. Against Washington St. and UCLA he went up and beat defensive backs for key touchdowns. He paired those with excellent use of his body to shield the backside defender on catches in both games. He is a willing blocker, he had a must-see block against Utah downfield. A classic modern USC WR in the mold of Woods, Nelson Agholor or Ju-Ju Smith-Schuster.
