DFS MLB DraftKings Lineup Advice for 5/26/21

Bare with me on this one. Just got back from a week at Daytona. Played my max on Tuesday’s slate and would like to do it again on Wednesdays. On tap is a 9 game slate including most games that could go either way. Bauer and Glasnow headline the pitchers. While hitters are hoping to go wild versus all the mediocre options.

Pitchers

  1. Chris Paddack (SDP) 7,700 @ MIL
  2. Drew Smyly (ATL) 7,200 @ BOS
  3. Alek Manoah 4,800 (TOR) @ NYY

Hard to not be tempted by Glasnow and Bauer. If I was mass entering I would have 20ish percent exposure to both. If there are a few late no green checkmarks then I wouldn’t hesitate to pivot to either. If I had to pick one id lean Glasnow. Paddack is a dam near-lock for me. Wouldn’t be surprised if his ownership was high but at this price and the chances of back-to-back quality games, sign me up. This season Smyly has had four good games and four bad games. Going for three good ones in a row, just like a quote I heard recently. “They didn’t make the word gambling for nothing.” On the other hand, it’s hard to not like an under five thousand hyped pitcher making his big league debut. If there is ever a time to play a guy it’s now, Manoah will literally never ever be this cheap of a starter again.

Hitters

I am going to give you three names. Lock these three in which will allow for easy high-priced bats to fill your lineups when combined with the pitchers mentioned above.

Austin Riley 4,000 (ATL) @ BOS

Adalberto Mondesi 2,400 (KC) @ TB

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. 3,000 (TOR) @ NYY

If you are not playing Mondesi at this price then why are you even playing? The man had two doubles in his season debut last night. Riley and Gurriel are both hot at the plate and I will be gambling it continues. Going to fill in the blanks below and cross our fingers.

  1. Will Smith 5,100
  2. Buster Posey 4,600
  3. Freddie Freeman 5,600
  4. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 5,400
  5. Max Muncy 5,500
  6. Jake Cronenworth 5,700
  7. Ronald Acuna Jr. 6,200
  8. Juan Soto 6,100
  9. Mike Yastrzemski 5,900
  10. Nick Castellanos 5,500

As listed above all three of Riley, Acuna, and Freeman will likely make it into a lineup of mine. I would not go all-in on a Braves stack with so many other great builds.
