Fantasy Football Week 14 Streamers: QB, TE, Team Defense

Before moving on to Week 14, here’s how Week 13’s streamers did (Yahoo! scoring, 0.5 point PPR).

Quarterback: Carson Wentz11.12 points
Tight End: Jack Doyle-1.8 points
Team Defense: Miami Dolphins
9 points

With the Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins on bye for the final regular season week in many fantasy football leagues, here are my quarterback, tight end and team defense streamers for Week 14.

Quarterback: Taylor Heinicke, Washington Football Team vs. Dallas Cowboys

Heinicke completed 23 of 30 passes for 196 yards with two touchdowns and an interception against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 13, along with 10 rushing yards. He has multiple passing touchdowns in two of his last three games. In four games since a Week 9 bye, he has seven touchdown passes and two intereptions while completing more than 72 percent of his passes in all four.

In Week 14 Heinicke gets the Dallas Cowboys, who are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season (19.2 per game, Yahoo! scoring). In three of their last five games, an opposing quarterback has topped 21 fantasy points against them (Yahoo! scoring). Six signal callers have topped 21 fantasy points against them this season, and five put something noticeable on the stat sheet as a runner.

In five games this season where he has had more than 35 pass attempts, Heinicke has thrown for over 265 yards three times and topped 21 fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring) twice. He has run for at least 10 yards in nine games this season.

I’m betting on Heinicke pushing toward 40 pass attempts on Sunday, as the Washington defense struggles to stop the Cowboys’ offense. Add in some rushing production, and you’ve got a streamable quarterback for Week 14.

Others To Consider: Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints at New York Jets; Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers at Cincinnati Bengals; Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons; Teddy Bridgewater, Denver Broncos vs. Detroit Lions; Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers; Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers at Minnesota Vikings (Thursday night); Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans; Jared Goff, Detroit Lions at Denver Broncos

Tight End: Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers (Sunday night)

In five of his last six games, Kmet has at least six targets and more than seven PPR points. He has had touchdowns annoyingly vultured from him by the shell of Jimmy Graham in back-to-back games.

Justin Fields may return under center for Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers, otherwise Andy Dalton will get another start. The Packers are in the top half of the league against tight ends, but six have posted double-digit PPR points against them. Back in Week 6, Kmet had four catches for 49 yards against Green Bay.

The Bears will likely have to air it out a bit Sunday night, weather-permitting. Even if downfield stuff is limited, Kmet might be busy as a short area target for whoever is under center. There’s a solid PPR floor here, with double-digit targets in play and that requisite upside.

Others To Consider: Tyler Conklin, Minnesota Vikings vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (Thursday night); Austin Hooper, Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens; Gerald Everett, Seattle Seahawks at Houston Texans; Jared Cook, Los Angeles Chargers vs. New York Giants; Evan Engram, New York Giants at Los Angeles Chargers; C.J. Uzomah, Cincinnati Bengals vs. San Francisco 49ers; James O’Shaughnessy, Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans

Team Defense: Los Angeles Chargers vs. New York Giants

The Chargers defense has not been great this season overall. But they have multiple sacks in three of their last four games, with three interceptions over the last two. A great matchup is coming in Week 14.

With Daniel Jones (neck) likely out and Mike Glennon (concussion) highly questionable, the New York Giants are in line to be down to Jake Fromm under center this week. The former Georgia Bulldog was only recently signed off the Buffalo Bills practice squad, and he has exactly zero regular season NFL pass attempts in his career (now into his second season). The Giants also never seem to have a fully healthy set of skill position people available.

The Giants just aren’t equipped to do much of anything offensively. They’re an easy target for a team defense streamer, and the Chargers are next up in Week 14.
