1. Jameis Winston – New Orleans Saints

Jameis Winston was playing at a very high level with the Saints before going down with an injury. After years with Tampa Bay, Winston got the chance to play under a new coaching staff. It’s safe to say that this was successful. While in Tampa, Winston was always viewed as a mid-level quarterback. He always had a lot of yards and touchdowns, but they were accompanied by a lot of interceptions. It’s very possible that he re-signs with the Saints to see how far they can go when healthy.

2021-22 Stats:

Seven Games Played, 1,170 Passing Yards, 59.0 Completion Percentage, 15 Total Touchdowns, Three Turnovers

Projected landing spot: New Orleans Saints

2. Teddy Bridgewater – Denver Broncos

Teddy Bridegwater got the chance to play for the Denver Broncos this season and it wasn’t the best outcome. Bridgewater wasn’t terrible, but he could’ve done much better considering the Broncos’ roster. There isn’t a very talented group of free agent quarterbacks, so he was able to make it to 2. No matter what, I don’t see Bridgewater being a starting quarterback on week one of the NFL season.

2021-22 Stats:

14 Games Played, 3,052 Passing Yards, 66.9 Completion Percentage, 20 Total Touchdowns, Eight Turnovers

Projected landing spot: Carolina Panthers

3. Cam Newton – Carolina Panthers

Cam Newton has been on a steady decline over the past few years and his career is nearing its end. He still has a few years left in him, but he’s likely looking at a backup spot. We thought we could’ve seen a potential comeback for Newton after his first game with the Panthers, but it all went to hell after that. There aren’t going to be a lot of teams eyeing Newton, but he should end up on an NFL roster.

2021-22 Stats:

Eight Games Played, 684 Passing Yards, 54.8 Completion Percentage, Nine Total Touchdowns, Six Turnovers

Projected landing spot: Pittsburgh Steelers

4. Ryan Fitzpatrick – Washington Commanders

Ryan Fitzpatrick was playing pretty decent football 2 seasons ago with the Miami Dolphins. It appeared that his career could have another spark in it. That is until he went to the Washington Commanders. He suffered a season ending injury last season and it looks like his career is coming to an end. It’s unfortunate because he’s better than most free agent quarterbacks this year. He’s just suffered too much in the last two seasons, and it’s about time that he calls it quits. If he doesn’t, Washington should welcome him back with open arms.

2021-22 Stats:

One Game Played, 13 Passing Yards,  56 Completion Percentage, 0 Touchdowns, 0 Turnovers

Projected Team: Retirement or Washington Commanders

5. Ben Rothlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers

I would’ve felt wrong for not putting Big Ben on this list as Rothlisberger would’ve been a free agent this off-season. His time in the NFL is very obviously over as he retired in January, but he’s had one hell of a career. He gave it one last run, and he made it to the playoffs. The Steelers might’ve gotten embarrassed, but he got to see the playoffs one last time. All of the NFL thanks you for your amazing career, Big Ben.

2021-22 Stats:

16 Games Played, 3,740 Passing Yards, 64.5 Completion percentage, 25 Total Touchdowns, 10 Turnovers

Projected Team: Retirement
