Top Plays
Chris Sale
Sale will face the Rays at home. He will hold the platoon advantage against some of the Rays top hitters. Sale is a strikeout guy and the Rays have been striking out 27.9% of the time. Only the Brewers strike out at a higher rate.
Jake Arrieta
Close behind Sale is Arrieta. He comes in as a higher favorite than Sale, but doesn’t quite have the same strikeout upside. I see Arrieta as a solid tournament pivot from Sale.
James Paxton
Paxton will hold the platoon advantage against many of the Rangers to hitters. The Rangers strike out at 23.1% overall and 27.8% against left-handed pitching. The weather in Seattle is cold today and is also great for pitching. On the evening slate, Paxton is my favorite pitcher.
Anthony Rizzo/Kris Bryant/Kyle Schwarber
The Cubs are my favorite offense against Tyler Glasnow. I think Jake Arrieta is a huge favorite because of the Cubs offense more than his pitching. I’m trying to find a way to get all three of these Cubs in my lineups, but if I can’t, I’ve listed them in the order of priority.
Ryan Braun
Braun is facing a lefty in hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park. If the Brewers can get to Brandon Finnegan, the Reds bullpen is also one of the worst in the league.
Adam Jones
I love stacking against Marco Estrada, so in tournaments I will have an Orioels stack. In cash games, I’ll be looking at Adam Jones to fill in one of my outfield spots. He’s just a bit too cheap for his talent, the opposing pitcher, and the ballpark.
Mike Trout
Trout is the clear top option again tonight for the evening slate. He’ll be locked into my lineups tonight even though he let me down a bit last night.
Mike Moustakas
Moustakas has been my go-to value play this season and it’s worked out more often than not. He’s still too cheap so I’ll likely have Moustakas playing third for me again tonight.
Notes
Justin Verlander is very cheap on DraftKings. I don’t love the matchup, but I love the price.

Matt Moore is also very interesting pitching at home against the Rockies.
Adam Conley is my favorite SP2 on the night slate on DraftKings, but I’m considering Kenta Maeda as well.
