Top Plays
Rich Hill
Again we see a Dodgers pitcher as the highest favorite on the slate. If you follow my articles throughout the season, you will see a lot of Dodgers pitchers due to the ballpark they play in and Yasmani Grandal’s pitch framing. I love Hill’s strikeout upside and will look to roster him in both cash games and tournaments.
Brandon Belt
If Belt hits top four in the order again, he could be a solid value against Taijuan Walker. The Giants have the highest run total on the slate, and Belt has the platoon advantage in hitter-friendly Chase Field. His price is also significantly lower than the highest priced first basemen on Wednesday.
Corey Seager
The Dodgers have a high run total and Seager seems a little too cheap. There are ten players priced at 5K or higher on DraftKings and Seager comes in at just $4,500, tied for 7th among short stops. I love the price and the matchup.
Charlie Blackmon/Carlos Gonzalez
Blackmon and Gonzalez are shaping up to be top options in the outfield tonight. Wily Peralta struggles against lefties, especially at home, yielding a .507 SLG throughout his career at Miller Park. I’m not sure which of the two I like best, but at least one of them will be in my lineup tonight.
Notes
I still think A.J. Pollock is too cheap!
Joc Pederson and Jay Bruce are great GPP options in the outfield for a discount.
Michael Pineda looks likely to be my SP2 tonight on DraftKings.
Eric Thames and Greg Bird are two value plays I’m plugging in a lot of my lineups.
Chris Sale and Jacob deGrom will be popular tonight, but both Hill and Pineda project a bit higher for me.
