MLB DFS Pitcher Chart & Lineup Advice – 6/1/2017

The pitcher chart is located under my top plays!
Top Plays
Corey Kluber
Kluber is the day’s top option. He is the largest favorite on the slate and has the lowest OTT. The A’s strike out third most against righties at 24.2% and Kluber has a 26% strikeout rate. Kluber is locked into my lineups in the early slate.
Zack Greinke
Greinke will get a huge park upgrade pitching in Marlins Park. The Marlins are in the bottom third of the league in wRC+ so he should be able to limit runs. The issue is the Marlins don’t strike out a lot and he doesn’t have the strikeout upside as most players priced at $12K+. I think he’s fine for cash games, but I don’t think I’ll be playing many cash games on Thursday night. The price for Greinke worries me, as I think he’s more than $2,000 overpriced on DraftKings.
Eduardo Rodriguez
Rodriguez is my favorite pitcher on the main slate. He’s probably a bit risky since the Orioles have some power in their lineup, but Manny Machado has been ice cold, and Chris Davis is a lefty. The Orioles strike out 24.5% of the time against lefties and have a 95 wRC+, good for 15th best in the league. I love the strikeout upside and the price, so I’ll have a lot of exposure to Rodriguez on Thursday.
Eric Thames
I will be playing mostly tournaments today, and on the early slate, Eric Thames is my favorite first baseman. He’s underpriced, likely due to ballpark and his recent struggles. His recent struggles were apparently due to an illness and tired legs, but he says his legs feel better which was evident over his past two games. On Tuesday, he legged out a triple, and then hit the longest home run of his career yesterday. I love the upside and the price, so I hope he comes in at low enough ownership to make it worth the play.
Josh Donaldson
Donaldson will face C.C. Sabathia in the Rogers Centre. He’ll have the platoon advantage and is tied for the third highest home run projection on the slate, behind only Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. Donaldson is slightly underpriced and has the highest points projection for third baseman. I’ll have a little Manny Machado exposure, but I’ll be loading up on Donaldson on Thursday.
Giancarlo Stanton
A lot of people may see Zack Greinke and avoid Stanton, keeping his ownership down. Stanton is my favorite tournament play in the outfield, and is in consideration for cash games as well. He has multi-home run upside, and while Greinke is the top projected pitcher on the main slate, I can see him giving up some runs. This comes down to ownership and upside for tournaments, and Stanton should check both of those boxes.
Notes
Cleveland bats are my favorite stack on the early slate while Cardinals bats are extremely underpriced, making them interesting as well.
Yankees bats are underpriced, making them my favorite stack on the main slate.
