MLB DFS Pitcher Chart & Lineup Advice – 6/9/2017

Last Updated: 6/9/2017 – 10:45 AM CT

The pitcher chart is located under my top plays!

Top Plays

Corey Kluber

Kluber has everything going for him on Friday and is the clear top option. He is the biggest favorite and has the lowest OTT (see pitcher chart). He has a 28.7% strikeout rate and the White Sox strike out sixth most in the league against righties. They also have the second-lowest wRC+ against righties. Kluber is the most expensive pitcher on the slate, but he’s worth it in both cash games and tournaments.

Michael Wacha

Wacha has had a few rough starts in a row, but gets a solid matchup against the Phillies. The Phillies take a park hit traveling to Busch Stadium. They strike out 23.0% of the time and rank just 24th in wRC+. Wacha is a heavy favorite and has a low OTT. At just $7,300, he’s one of my favorite SP2 options on DraftKings.

Tanner Roark

Roark will face the Rangers in Nationals Park. The Rangers take a big park hit and lose their DH. Roark isn’t a high strikeout pitcher, but the Rangers have a 23.1% strikeout rate against righties and will be adding Andrew Cashner to their batting order. Roark should go deep into this game and is a heavy favorite, so his chance at the win is high. If he can strike out 5-6 batters, he’ll be in great shape at just $8,200 on DraftKings.

Michael Conforto/Mets Lefties

Conforto is the top overall play today against Julio Teheran. Teheran has a career .260 wOBA against righties, but a .347 wOBA against lefties. The Mets have enough lefties to give Teheran some trouble, turning over the order frequently and creating blow up risk. They are my favorite stack and it’s feasible to have four Mets lefties in cash games.

Mookie Betts

Betts has been cold lately, but I can’t seem to get away from playing him at just $4,300 on DraftKings. He’ll face Jordon Zimmermann who doesn’t strike out a lot of batters and the Red Sox have a 5.5 team run total, highest on the slate. Assuming Mookie is leading off, it’s going to be very difficult to pass up a guy who’s about $1,000 too cheap.

Notes

Chris Davis and Aaron Judge are great tournament plays and have crazy high home run projections today.

Randall Delgado is also interesting for tournaments at just $5,400, facing the Brewers.

The pitching chart will be updated often. Make sure to check back for the newest information, especially if a column is currently incomplete!
